Lilly's POV

I'm so excited for tomorrow. It will be Thanksgiving. There's nothing that can ruin my happiness today! I feel unstoppable.

I was listening to "4 minutes" by Madonna (which is my favorite song right now) and dancing in the mirror in my room. I did this a lot when no one was really around. It's totes awesome sauce. Haha, I have no friends.

I was breaking it down when I heard the door open. I screamed and fell down on the floor on my arm. Great, that's all I need. Another hurt arm.

It was my sister Caroline who had come in my room. I was just glad it wasn't my mom or dad because I was doing some questionable dance moves...
I'M SORRY I JUST CAN'T HELP MYSELF WHEN THE BEAT DROPS.

"What were you doing?" she asked and laughed.

"N-nothing!" I stuttered, getting up off the floor.

"Okay then... Well, mom said to pick out an outfit for tomorrow."

"Okay, I will," I said, quickly.

She looked like she was about to leave, until she turned back and asked, "But seriously, what the hell were you just doing? It looked... painful."

"Get out!" I yelled and threw a pillow at her. She laughed at me and finally left.

Around 10 PM, I started feeling sleepy. I grabbed my favorite blanket and headed to my mom and dad's room because there's a little corner in the room that has Willy's dog bed that I sleep in sometimes. I am just now realizing how weird I am. I curled up with my blanket and fell asleep.

It was around 1:30 AM when I started hearing some noises. I tried to ignore them, but after a while I just couldn't. I opened my eyes and saw THE MOST HORRIFIC SIGHT I HAD EVER SEEN. MY INNOCENT MIND WAS NOT PREPARED FOR IT.

I wanted to scream but I knew they would hear me. I started crying. This was literally turning into the worst night of my life. And to think I had just said that nothing could ruin my day! This not only ruined my day, but IT RUINED MY LIFE. I tried to shut my eyes.

"Wait... did you just hear that?" my mom asked.

CRAP.

"Hear what?" my dad said.

"Never mind. I just thought I heard... crying," she said.

"Oh, you'll be crying when I'm done with you," he said and she laughed.

OH MY GOSH. WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!?!
I LITERALLY WANTED TO DIE.

I tried covering my ears, but I could still hear. I just wanted this to end. I tried to think of happy thoughts. Like food. I tried thinking about hotdogs. NO, NOT HOTDOGS. NOT HOTDOGS.

After what seemed like forever, they were finally finished. It looked like they were asleep so I quietly ran out of the room as fast as I could and I hopped in my own bed.
I literally cried myself to sleep.

"Rise and shine, baby girl," I heard a voice say, "We've got a big day today."

I looked up and saw my mom. She sat on the side of my bed and smiled. I didn't say anything.

I would never think of her
the same way....
