Chapter 17: Really Bro

Nick's POV

It had been a long damn day and I was ready to sit back on the couch and watch some Netflix. For some reason I really wanted to watch Mamma Mia... idk don't judge me...

But as I was walking up to the porch, getting ready to unlock the door, I heard a familiar voice scream, "SURPISE!!!!"

When I turned around I was stunned af. It was my mother.... Jane.

"MOM???" I asked in confusion. My body was frozen.

I hadn't seen her in years... and I was okay with that. When I was in high school, I had a job at Chick-Fil-A. I made pretty good money too. Then one day I was looking in my wallet and I only had 2 dollars and 15 cents. She had used my money to buy Valentino bags, cigarettes, and beer.

So by the time she kicked me out when I got Britney pregnant, I wasn't even that sad. The only thing I really missed were my siblings.

"Hi, sweetheart," she said, walking towards me, "It's been years since I've seen you, and you still have that terrible haircut!"

"Um.... mom. What are you doing here?" I asked, backing away,  "And how did you find our house?"

"Gosh, so defensive," she mumbled, "Is it so wrong for a grandmother to want to visit her grandchildren?"

"Yes. It is," I said, boldly, "When you haven't been there for them there entire lives. Do you even know there names?"

"Um... of course!" she said with a nervous laugh, "That one's... Catherine... and these two are... Sam and Pam..? Yeah I have no idea."

Caroline, Lilly, and Billy looked at each other confused.

"Mom, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave," I said. There was no way I was gonna let her around my children.

She just laughed and took a look at Britney, noticing her baby bump.

"Oh, so you're pregnant again?" she asked, "Ah... well, that... surely brings back... memories."

Britney took a step closer to me and grabbed my arm.

Everyone felt really confused and uncomfortable.

All of a sudden, there was another rustling sound coming from the bushes and out came... my brother, Aaron?! He was covered in dirt and leaves and was breathing heavily.

"Oh my God... Mom, why did you think this was a good idea?" he asked, panting.

"Aaron, what's going on?! Why are you guys here?!" I yelled.

"Mom made me come! She said if I didn't she would bleach my asshole!" he answered.

"Oh God. Kids, go inside," I said to Caroline, Lilly, and Billy and they quickly left, "What the hell, Mom?!"

"Well, he needs to get off his lazy ass and get a job! He's been living with me for the past twenty-four damn years and I'm tired of it!" said my mother.

"Well maybe I'll just live with Nick then, Mom!! How does that sound?!" shouted Aaron.

"Wait, what?!" Britney asked in shock.

"That sounds GREAT to me, Aaron!" my mom yelled back, and started walking to her car.

"Mom! WAIT?! What are you doing?!" I asked.

"GOODBYE FOREVER, BITCHES!!" she said as she put her sunglasses on. She closed her car door and drove away.

No one said anything for a few seconds.

"What... the f**k....just happened..." I said in disbelief.

"I have no idea but I'm okay with it," said Aaron.

"Aaron, you can't stay here," I said, "We have three kids, and another one on the way. There's no room for you."

"Well... that's not my fault!" he said, "I didn't think she was actually gonna leave! Come on, Nick! What am I supposed to do?! Live on the streets?!"

"Fine," I said, reluctantly, "You can stay, but not for long. Just until we can find you somewhere else."

"Thanks, bro!" he said and hugged me. After that he ran inside.

"Nick... is this really a good idea?" Britney asked me with a look of concern.

"Honestly... I don't know," I said, "But he's my brother. It's only right."

I wasn't sure what I was getting myself in to, but I knew I was in for a ride...

What's up guys?😜 Sorry i like never post new chapters but I'm gonna try really hard, so I can finish this book because I have SO MANY ideas! Maybe now it will be easier to write because my obsession with Zac Efron has kinda... well, died ig.
