"We meet the people we're supposed to when the time is just right." -Alison Noel

Dear Diary,

hey, it's me again. It's been a while since I last wrote in you. I've been too busy with my classes, but some things took place that I want to write about.

-Flashback-

"How many books are left before we go back?" asked me Maxime. We were in the library, returning some books we had borrowed. I had borrowed a lot more books than she had and for some reason she decided to wait for me to finish putting them back to where I found them.

"You know, you don't have to wait for me. You can go if you want. I never invited you to tag along." I said, not meaning to sound rude.

"No it's fine. I really love the library anyways." she said back with a polite smile. Great, now I feel bad for sounding that rude.

"Me too." I said while placing a big book in a shelf. Maxime seemed nice. I didn't like Cho and Penelope but at least this year I had one roommate who I liked.

I turned to put another book on a shelf near by when I hit something and stumbled back a bit. Luckily I didn't fall, but the person I hit lost their balance and fell down.

"Esme are you alright?" asked me Maxime.

"Yeah..." I turned to look at the person I hit. There on the floor sat a girl, taller than me, with brown-blonde hair, tanned skin and hazel eyes. She was wearing Gryffindor robes.

"Are you alright?" asked then Maxime the girl.

Maxime helped her up while I picked up her books. Nothing though could prepare me for what happened next...

"Oh Merlin's beard! I am so, so sorry! I didn't see you there! I was in a hurry because I was sick yesterday and missed all my classes and when I got better Jay, that's my friend, well his name is Jason but I call him Jay, nice guy, anyways so he came to give me my homework but there's a class I don't have with him and I forgot about it, until this morning at breakfast, and it turns out I have this huge essay to write on that class and I came here to borrow some books to help me, but I have to finish it today and I'm in a hurry and so I didn't see you while I was hurrying and bumped into you and I'm very so much sorry!" she said rapidly. "Oh I'm Mira by the way. Miranda." she smiled at us.

I was staring at her in slight shock and fear. A talkative, friendly, open person... did I mention that she's talkative?! Just great...

"Em... it's fine, really." I managed to say. "Just glad no one got hurt."

"I'm Maxime." smiled Maxime at her. "Nice to meet you Mira."

Maxime elbowed me. But if I give her my name then she'll think we're friends and won't stop talking to me! Maxime just gave me a look and I sighted in defeat.

"And I'm Esme..." I said bored.

"Oh! Esme! Such a nice name. I mean Maxime is great too, lovely really, I love it, but I never heard the name Esme before! Is it small for something? Like mine that everyone calls me Mira but my name is Miranda. Miranda O'Daniel. Well, Miranda Jayden O'Daniel. It's pretty cool having two names, isn't it? I mean-"

"It's from Esmeralda. And yes it's quite interesting having two names." I caught her off before she could drive me insane with all that talking.

"Do you have a middle name?" she asked us curious.

"Mine is Artemis." said Maxime politely.

"Oh I love that!" said Miranda and Maxime agreed with her. In the mean time I was thinking of excuses to leave.
