Chapter Twenty-One
Stay Awake

A teacher comes out, "get to class!" He yells at us. Peter goes one way, and Marlene goes the other, and me and Four don't move.

Tobias grabs my hands and looks at them. My nuckles scrapped and bloody. "Let's get the taken care of." Tobias says, and leads me to the infirmary.

When we get there a nurse patches up my hands by wiping them with an alcohol disinfectant wipe, and then wrapping them with gaze. After that she leaves. Probably to grab something from a supply office or something.

Tobias kisses my lips, and I'm about to kiss him back, but instead I push him back a bit. He furrows his eyebrows, "I need to tell you something." I say and bite my lip. "What is it?" Tobias says.

"I... I think I'm being stalked." I say, he furrows his eyebrows again, "Are you sure?" He asks, "yeah." I say and nod. I pull out my phone and show him the texts I received.

"I've been feeling like I've been being watched, I thought I was just being paranoid, and then I received these last night." I say.

Tobias takes my phone and looks at the messages. He clenches his fist when he sees the text about me looking good. "I wanna know where you are at all times, I don't ever want you alone, even in the bathroom, take someone, Chris, Mar, Shuana, anyone, just don't go alone. Understand?" Tobias says in a sexy stern voice.

"Yes," I say, "good, tell me if you receive any more texts like these, or if you feel watched." Tobias says, and kisses my forehead. "Okay,"

"Are you scared?" Tobias asks me. "To be honest, yes. He was in my home, I'm freaked out." I answer honestly. "It'll be okay, we'll buy a lock for your bedroom, and remember I'm only one window away." Tobias say, he pulls me towards him, and hugs me.

Holding me tight against his body, I can feel his beating heart. It's slow steady pulsing beat. It's oddly comforting.
"Thank you," I say.

"I'll protect you." He says suddenly.
"How?" I ask him, "With my bare fists obviously," he says and I can feel him smirk into the hug.

RING - RING - RING

My phone's goes off, Tobias picks it up. Suddenly he brakes away from the hug, and shows me the caller ID
1- (989) - 666 - 666
He answers the call, puts it on speaker, and makes him self quite.

"Hello Precious." A deep voice says, unfourtunetly they used a voice modifier so it's unrecognisable. Tobias sits there looking pissed off and clenching his fist.

"What do want?!" I ask.
"I know you told your little boy toy, infact I bet he's listening now."
"I-I" I was at a loss of words.

"There is a severe punishment for telling someone," then the line went dead, I looked at Tobias worried, when suddenly we heard something.

Bang
Bang
Bang  

Gun shots.
Me and Tobias quickly run out of the information to the hall, only to be rushed to a class room by a teacher. They told us to get under the desks. It didn't take an idiot to figure out what was going on. Someone had fired a gun.... Someone I suspected to be the stalker.

Tobias pulled out his phone and texted everyone.

Toby: where is everyone?
Zeke: in the cafeteria with will, doors are being locked
Marlene: with Shuana, and Chris, heard gun shots, where are u and tris??
Me: holed up in the math class room. Be careful.
Me: where's Uriah?

I had a bad feeling. It was an aching, terrible feeling, that something was gonna happen. Something bad.

Suddenly a voice came on the speakers, "Students of divergent high, we have cops in the premises and the building has been secured. As a result of today's event, you have the rest of the day off." The principals voice came on.

Tobias grabs my hand, "C'mon, let's find our friends." We walk out the hall, and towards the cafatearia. We see Shuana, Marlene, Zeke, will, and Chris. But Uriahs not there.

"Where's Uriah?" I ask. 'I thought he was with you guys?" Zeke says but it comes out like a question. "No, lets go find him,"

Me, Zeke and Toby, go one way, while Chris, Will, and Shuana goes the other way, and Marlene,
Marlene was searching with Lynn.

We walk down the hall, looking in class rooms. When we walk in a class room, there's a sight I wish I never had to see....

Uriah, was slumped up against the wall, blood all over his black jacket. He was still awake, but it looked like he was about to fall asleep. He had his hands pushing on the wound.

I quickly rush to Uriah, putting my hands on his wound, to apply pressure. Uriah slowly closes his eyes. No. "Uriah, wake up. Please stay awake." I say and slap his face a little, like they do in movies.

Tobias pulls his phone out and calls an ambulance. Zeke rushes forward, "No, you can't die. Your my little bro!" Zeke cries and full on slaps Uriah making him open his eyes a little, "T-Tell Marlene, I-I, l-l-l-ove h-her,"
