You're in New York during New Years Eve, standing in the huge crowd of people and watching the clock begin it's countdown as it's now ten seconds away from being midnight. You have a smile on your face as you yell the numbers along with everyone else, but as soon as the clock reads 2 seconds left, everything freezes. The timer, the cheers, the people. Time has literally stopped around you, and when you realize this, you hear someone clear their throat from behind you.
"Hurry," they say, "if time starts again we're both going to die."
