Why Me?

I started walking away from the school while Ace is trying to catch up to me.

"(Y/n)! Wait for me!"

I kept on walking and ignoring him.

How could he fall asleep? There was like 15 or so minutes left until class started! I can't believe this! I've never skipped any of my classes before and now this is going to be on my records! Ugh, I'm so dead for this.

Once he finally caught up, he grabbed my shoulder and turned me around.

"I'm sorry! I didn't know that I would fall asleep! It's just that I couldn't help it, it was so peaceful while looking at your face- the sky! Because, you know, how pretty it is! Hahah..."
I just stared at him as if he was crazy, but then it hit me.

"Oh, shoot. Didn't you say that you were narcolepsy?" I asked, remembering him telling me that when I was over at his house.

"Y-yeah! I am-" he stops shorts and looks at the ground for a few seconds before continuing,
"Shit, I forgot to take my pills today for that."

I started laughing at him and he's looking at me like I'm crazy.

"Y-you-h-how could y-you forget to take something like that!" I said while laughing, my hands covering my mouth; trying to be polite and not being rude towards him.

I look up at Ace and noticed that his face is red.

With his freckles and his red face, it sorta makes him look like a strawberry!

"Shut up! It's not my fault that I didn't take them!" He said, trying to convince me that it wasn't and that he forgot about them. Once I stopped laughing at him, I asked him, "oh yeah? Then who's fault is it then?" I crossed my arms while I waited for his answer. I pouted my lips and tried to look mad, but on the inside, I wasn't.

It's not really his fault, I get that, but his face right now is absolutely adorable! If only I could take a picture of him right now.

"Uh, you see-um, this morning when I-um-"

He's so cute when he's stuttering.

I smiled and touched his upper arm to grab his attention. Once I did, he jumped a bit, probably not expecting it, and looked at me.

"Ace, it's fine. I'm not mad or anything, if you forgot to take them then you forgot to take them. No biggie, it happens." I smiled at him and he smiled back with his face still red, of course.

"I just couldn't help myself that's all, hehe." I giggled to myself, "you just looked so cute with your being red."

As if on cue, his face becomes redder. His eyes widen and his mouth slightly opened, he was probably trying to say something but couldn't. I giggled to myself once more before doing something daring. I got closer to him and kissed his cheek like he did to me earlier.

"That was thank you for today. Even though I'm probably going to get in trouble for skipping my classes, I needed the sleep, even if it was a bad dream. Plus, it was nice and comfy sitting on your lap!" I said smiling, though I couldn't say the same about Ace.

He just stood there with his face getting red and red than it was beforehand if that was even possible. His mouth still slightly opened and nothing came from his mouth, he was almost starting to drool from it being open for so long.

I put my hand on his chin and closed it for him.
By doing that, he seemed to snap out of whatever he was in and was looking everywhere but me. Which I'm thankful for because even I, too, was blushing from giving him that kiss.
