Protectors 3: Wolves

Part 1

I awoke to a slight pain in my leg.  I was all comfortable in my bed, sleeping silently, and lying as still as can be.  The house was silent, with the only sound of something cooking on the stove, and a page flipping every once in a while.  Right there and then, I knew that some of the boys were up. I didn't know who was cooking, but by the sound of the pages, I knew Ruki was up.  He was usually one of the first ones up.  He liked the silence of the morning, when the rest of us was sleeping.  I opened my eyes, as I moaned and rubbed my head. I was still tired, even though I slept a lot better now.  My brothers, like to keep the house silent, when people are studying or sleeping.  I jolted up when I smacked my bad leg on the foot rest of my bed. I jolted up as I yelled in pain. I rubbed it as footsteps rushed towards my door, and someone knocked.  "Lilly, you all set in there?" Ruki asked, sounding like he was in a hurry. He had a bit of panic in his voice at this point too. "Yep" I grunted as I rubbed my leg again, feeling something wet on my hand.  I knew I was bleeding constantly, but I didn't know how much. Sometimes, I bled more than usual, and it was usually when I first get up. I looked at my hand, seeing it convered in blood.  My hand was all drenched and red, dark red. The bleedind hasn't stopped and it's gushes more in the morning. I sat there in shock, as I felt my stomach turning at the sight of the blood.  I was frozen still, trying to keep from getting sick. Ruki knocked on the door again, now in worry.  "Are you ok, can I come in?" he asked polightly, slowly turning the handle and waiting for my ok.  The boys usually don't burst in, but there has been days where they had no choice and do it anyway.  I sighed a bit, as I closed my eyes.  I was in too much pain to answer him.  "Lilly?  You alright" he asked, still waiting for my reply.  I could tell by his voice that he was getting impatient, and now  being panicky.  I closed my eyes as I fell back on the bed and moaned a bit, keeping myself from screaming. The wond starting hurting at this point, which sometimes it was normal.

Ruki rushed in the room, not waiting any longer for a response. He looked at me with worry all over his face.  "Lilly, what happened?" he asked.  "I just bumped my bad leg" I said as I got up, limping across the room.  Ever since I got hurt, I've been limping every time I moved, but I still could move around, it just took me longer to.  Blood dripped down my leg, now soaking through the banage and leaking on the floor.  I looked at it, feeling abolutley discusted by it.  The bandage was all red to the point that you couldn't tell I had it on still.  All I could see of it, was the black lines of the side of the gauze. I held my hand up to my mouth, trying not to get sick about the whole thing.  My eyes stayed locked with the view, watching the blood trickle down the bandages onto my sheets.  Depending how much I bled, and how much it showed through the bandage, I threw up sometimes.  But the boys had ways of handeling it.  Ruki looked at my led in shock as he reacted quickly.  He picked me up in a hurry as Kou walked in the room.  "Did you bring the sleep mask?" Ruki asked as he rushed me to the bathroom. Kou nodded as he followed us into the bathroom.  They always had to put a sleep mask over my eyes, so I didn't get sick when they changed the bandage.  Ruki took the mask and slipped it over my head, shielding me from the blood. He yanked it down over my eyes, not on purpose but just in a rush to get this done and over with.

He didn't do anything at first, just sat there in thought.  Finally, someone picked me up from my spot and put me in what felt like the tub. It was filled with warm water, that felt very relaxing.  It made me calm down more than ever.  "Kou can you get the stuff from the closet?" Ruki asked, as I felt something wet, slip off my leg.  Just the feeling made me a little pale. Some of the bandages seeped into the cuts, which rubbed when he pulled it out.  By the feeling of it, it felt gooey.  I heard Kou rummageing through one of the bins of the closet, as the water came on in the tub.  I slid down, resting my head against the back as I tried to relax. I trusted the boys enough to do what they had to do, even if it hurts at times.  I heard a huff then shifting.  "I got to do it" Ruki said, sounding a little hurt by it.  I felt confused of what they were talking about, but I had the feeling and knew.  Fangs was going to end up in me.  Movement came into the room once again.  "I thought we said we wouldn't do that to her?" Kou asked.  Ruki turned by the sound of it, but I didn't know in what direction.  "Yes I did, but this is different.  She's bleeding, and it might be the only way to stop it" Ruki explained. He didn't like it when the four of them broke the rules, but sometimes they had to do it. Kou huffed, but didn't say a word.  I heard movement as I felt my leg lift, and lie on what felt like the top of the tub.  "Ok Lilly, i'm going to pinch your leg" Ruki said as he inhaled.  I sat there, as I closed my eyes, trying to lay still so he could do what he had to do.  Finally, I felt something sharp dig into my led around the wound. It felt like tiny needles, going around the cut on my leg, pinching it slowly.  I flinched in pain, as I hit my head lightly on the tub.  It was just a bump, not even enough to give me a headache. "Ouch" I said gentally, as he continued. I struggled to stay still, but I knew it would help him more if I did.  Movement came closer as a hand came on the back of my head.  "You ok, kitten?" Kou asked silently, trying to keep me calm and relaxed.  I didn't say anything, just let them do their thing.

Finally, the sharp object released my skin and pulled away from me.  I heard the sound of someone licking their lips, as my leg was gentally placed back in the water. I sighed as I relaxed, trying to let the feeling of the pain fade away, which it slowly did. "There, that seems to be helping with the bleeding" Ruki said, as someone was shifting in the water. I sighed in confusion as I felt a tear slip down my cheek.  I usually cried when they bit me.  It was the only thing I was afraid of, but I knew they had to do it every once in a while."Did Ruki just bite me?" I thought to myself, as my leg was placed back in the water.  I felt a hand rub the side of my head, gently. I lied my head down on the back of the tub.  It wasn't that much comfortable, but at least it was something I could rest on.  I sighed as I kept quiet as I relaxed. "You still doing ok, Lilly?" Ruki asked silently.  I nodded as I kept silent, knowing the worst was over.
