Once he was done, he rewrapped my leg and finally took the mask that covered my eyes off. I sighed as I watched him pull down my pant leg, and got up, cleaning his space off. Ruki was silent at this moment, trying to calm himself down before he spoke to me. He looked down at his leg, seeing a little blood splatterd on his jeans. It wasn't much, but it sat on his jeans, soaking through. Ruki huffed as he got up and walked to the sink to clean up. He stayed silent at this point, and I didn't know why. I didn't know if he was angry about the fact that my blood was all over his jeans, or if it was something else. It scared me a bit to find out why. But it made me fell like it was my fault that he was covered in it. I didn't mean to bleed all over him. I wasn't trying to either, it just happened. I sighed as I watched him look in the mirror, then wet a clean wash cloth and started attending the blood. He starting patting the cloth against the side of his cheek, trying to get the dried dot off his face. I sighed as I looked at the floor, feeling upset over it, which I shouldn't really, but I did anyway. "I'm sorry Ruki" I said, in a depressing tone and a sigh. Ruki just looked at me in confusion as he stoped for a few minutes. He didn't say anything at first, just stared at me. Finally, he broke the silence. "What are you talking about?" he asked, in a calm voice, as he went back to his thing. I sighed before I spoke. "I was bleeding, which made you take blood, now you stained your shirt." I looked out the window, as I watched the rain drip down the window. I don't know why it made me upset at all and it didn't bug the boys one bit. Ruki didn't speak at first, he just staired at me in confusion. Finally, he sighed and sat next to me on the tub. "Lilly" he said trying to grab my attention, but failed. I just contined to look at my hands. I didn't even get out of the tub at this point. I was too upset to do anything except get trapped in my own thoughts.
Ruki huffed as he shifted. "Lilly, look at me" he said, a little sternly. I knew I was getting him angry, but I didn't care. I still didn't want to look at him. Ruki huffed as I heard him kneel next to the tub. I saw his hand going down to my neck, as he grabbed my chin, and forced me to look at him. He always did it when I didn't do as I was told. The four did it when they needed to, and it made me feel smaller than I really am. I looked into his eyes, as they grew cold."Lilly, look at me and listen. I rather have blood on me, then on you. It doesn't bother me at all" he said sternly. He looked at me more serious as before. This is where I knew he was upset. "Do you understand that it doesn't bother us at all?" He asked sternly. Once again, he sounded like a dad then a brother. His voice was loud and booming, echoing through the room. I was surprised the others didn't rush in yet. I nodded as he let go of my chin, then got up and grabbed the bandage. "Now give me your leg" he said, as he sat back down. I didn't fight or complain. I put my leg on his knee, as he wrapped it back up before it bled again. When he was done, he looked at it in silence. His mood changed instantly, like someone turned a switch controlling his emotions. I watched him as he brushed the bandages genially with his hand, then huffed. We sat there in silence, me just watching him do what he was doing. He didn't talk, didn't make a sound except a few sighs. By the looks of it, he looked very down about it. "Ruki, are you ok?" I asked, wanting to talk about it, only if he wanted to. I wasn't going to make him.
Ruki sighed before speeking. "Two of my younget siblings are hurt now" he said as he gentally put my foot down. He looked very upset about it, like it was his fault. I looked at him in undersandment. I knew that Azusa was also hurt, but no one really told me what happend, or if he bled like I did. I put my head down, not wanting to ask him about it, not yet. Then I thought about Kanato and wondered how he was doing with his arm. Finally, I looked up at him in confusion. "Ruki" I said, grabbing his attention. He looked at me as he sighed. "What munshkin?" he asked, making me shocked by the nickname. When I was a baby, Ruki and Yuma have always called me munshkin because I was always small. I had a couple nicknames around the house that each of my brothers would call me. Ruki and Yuma called me munshkin, Kou called me Kitten, and Azusa didn't really have a nickname for me. He just called me by my name.
I looked down at my hands, as I placed my fingure in my palm and closed it. Finally, I broke the silence as I spoke. "Am I going to die?" I asked him, trying to fight the tears. I didn't look at him, just in case I did. Ruki sighed as he looked down at his own hands. He didn't speak at first, just sat there in silence. I looked at him as a tear formed in my eye, and finally made it down my cheek. Ruki looked at me, as he bent over and rubbed the tear off. He took a deep breath before answering, trying to fight his emotions. "I don't know" he said, his voice starting to shake. I watched him as I felt like asking him more. There was a lot I didn't know, and I been in the house for a while now. Finally, I made my desicion and looked back up at him. "Ruki, what happend to mom and dad?" I finally spoke. Ruki looked down at me, with a hand pressed against his cheek. "You should probably get dressed" he said, competley ignoring my question and waking out of the room, with his head hung low. Once the door closed, I heard a thump on it, followed by a deep breath. "Was he crying?" I thought as I sat there. I looked at the door in confusion for a few minutes, before doing anything. Finally, I got up and finished getting ready, hearing footsteps walking away with the sobs.
Once I was done, I opened up the door and walked down the hall, as the front door slammed shut. It wasn't like them to slam the door when they were sad, just when they were angry about something. He must be really upset, if he slammed it. I looked out in confusion as I walked into the living room, seeing Yuma watching tv. He was curled up on the coutch, his head resting against his hand, as he watched the screen in total focus. Kou and Azusa were at the kitchen table doing work by the sight. Kou was on his computer and Azusa was reading out of his text book. The two of them looked so focused on their work, and it looked like they didn't want to be bothered. I looked around, seeing Ruki no where. I sighed as I thought about him. He must've been upset about the question. Yuma looked up from the tv as he went back to the schreen. "Hey Lilly" he said with a sigh. I looked around as I walked into the room more. "Where did Ruki go?" I asked, a little confused.
Yuma sighed as he spoke. "He left and I dunno where he's going" he said as he took a deep breath, and looked in the kitchen. "Does one of you know where Ruki went?" he asked them both. Azusa shook his head in silence, as Kou looked up, looking like he was in thought. "He didn't say anywhere specific. He just told me he was going out for a bit" he said, then tilted his head. "Hey Lilly, what were you talking about in there?" he asked confused. I sighed as I didn't want to answer his question. At this point, all three were looking at me, making me feel embarrest. "Um, I just asked about mom and dad? I didn't mean to make him upset" I said, feeling shy. I was still the new kid in the house, and still figuring things out about our family. The three of them just looked at me in silence. I felt embarrest by it, but I wanted to know and no one was telling me. Finally, I huffed as I looked at the floor. "Sorry I asked. I got homework to do" I said as I headded back to my bedroom, feeling clueless.
