Chapter 3

When Hermione and I were getting ready for bed I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. Oh no please no. I wince at the pain. Which curse is it now?

"Milne?" I cry out

"Hailey what is it? I thought we agreed to go to bed and stop reading?" She said

"Mione.....the, the curses. You have to take me to Snape." I cry in pain

"Okay come on. Ill wake up Harry and Ron so they can help." She says helping me up. This feeling its kinda different. It feels like the cruciatus curse but also the killing curse. She takes me to the common room and sits me on the coach then runs up to get Ron and Harry. Then they all run down the stairs.

"This is weird. We have to go to the Slytherin house?" Ron asks

"Ron they're just a bunch of ignorant people I need Snape." I say standing up.

"Oww." Is all I could say. Ron and Harry helped me all the way down to the Slytherin house. I saw my hand slowly turned a blue. Oh no. Its the slow death curse.

"H-Hailey why are you turning blue?" Hermione asked

"Its the slow death curse." I say

We make it to the painting

"Password?" He asked

"I need Snape. The curse its a different one." I say

"Of course Ms.Rose come in quickly." He says. He's usually mean but he knows its an emergency.

"What are you 4 doing here? And why are you turning blue?" One of the older Slytherins asked

"Jake I need Snape.....owwww....hurry its a different curse." I say as I fall to the floor.

"Hailey!" Harry and Ron shout at the same time. They were loud enough they woke up a few Slytherin's.

"What are you blood traitors and Mudblood doing in here?" A familiar voice asked

"Malfoy its Hailey shes cursed remember? We need Snape." Harry said

"Why are you turning blue?" He asked

"Its.......a...new...ouch!....its a new.....curse." I managed to get out

"Its the slow death curse." Hermione said answering for me.

"Everybody back up now!" I heard Snape say

"What curses do you feel?" He asked me

Its 3 this time. The killing curse, the cruciatus curse, and the slow death curse." I said

"Oh my. This is your first time having 3 together. Hailey think of your happiest memories. Think of what your mother told you when you were younger. Think as positive as you can." He said in a slightly cold voice.

I nod my head and thought of everything positive that has happened to me. Then I remembered my mothers words. I soon felt nothing. I opened my eyes and I was back to normal. I got up and hugged Snape. He froze but slightly hugged me back.

"Thanks." I said

"Yes well I've been here for the past 4 years. You know you are getting stronger. Perhaps tomorrow you start practicing ypur powers again." He said

"Professor last time I did that I threw water on you and turned you into slime." I said

"Yes well maybe you are able to control them better, that was your first year here. You should be able to control them a little better." He says

"Wait you have powers?" Ron asked

"Em yeah?" I said. I walked to the fire place and held my hand out and turned the flames into people dancing.

"Wicked" Ron said.

"Uh, sorry I woke you guys up. I didn't mean to." I say to the woken Slytherin's.

"Its fine Hailey. It was kinda cool being here to witness you going through 3 curses even though you turned blue. How do you survive those anyways?" Jake asked

"Well I'm no really sure. I just use all of the strength that I have and think positive. Once I get positive thoughts in my mind it overpowers the pain and makes the pain disappear." I say

"Wow. That's cool." He says

"Yes. Now you 4 go back to your common room. And Slytherins back to bed." Snape says

"Good night guy." I say waving to them

"Goodnight Hailey." I heard some of them say

"Now you wont be waking me up about another curse are you?" Hermione asked

"No...well hopefully not. I shouldn't have one until tomorrow...well later." I tell her

"Okay goodnight Hailey." she says

"Goodnight Mione." I say then drift off to sleep.
