"you jinxed it tyler." i said jumping to the hotel's couch.

"did not," tyler said throwing his jacket. "i just said that to make you feel better."

"yeah-huh!" i said.

"what's going on?" jenna said walking out of the kitchen. "how did it go?"

"it went good," tyler and i said. "but we reunited with our old friend group from high school."

"what?" jenna said shocked.

"yeah it was awkward," i said. "and more when i saw y/n after all those years."

"really?!" jenna smiled. "finally, did you guys talk about the you-know-what thing?"

"no, they were quiet the entire time." tyler said.

"it was traumatizing tyler, i can't just become who i once was after something huge like that!" i snapped. "i–i'm sorry ty."

"you should talk to her," jenna patted my back and drank from her lemonade. "it will kinda clear things up."

"right."

"disadvantage is that you don't know where she lives." tyler frowned.

"actually, she gave me her phone number," i smirked. "we met again at the grocery store this morning, and she likes our music."

"dude are you serious?" tyler's eyes widened and filled with joy, i nodded. "holy smokes!"

"text her and tell her to meet you somewhere!" jenna smiled.

"will do."

i turned on my phone and started texting y/n.

not even a minute and she texted back.

me: hey, from a scale of 1-america, how free are you?

y/n: north korea

me: oh

y/n: just kidding, i'm free. why?

me: i just wanted to talk things out with you, since y'know it was really awkward at the restaurant.

y/n: yeah sure, i'm down.
y/n: where do you want to go?

me: i don't know, wanna get some coffee?

y/n: even after all these years, you still want to take me to coffee places, but which coffee place?

me: starbucks?
me: or maybe we could just get coffee and go somewhere else to talk

y/n: you can come to brendon's place.
y/n: the urie's won't comeback till 9 o'clock

me: alright, starbucks and brendon's place will be it
me: i'll pick you up.

y/n: alright.
y/n: *insert address*

i grabbed my keys and made it to brendon's place.

i saw y/n, sitting next to the door on her phone. she looked so good: ripped black jeans, black and white reglan, black converse.

she stood up and came in to the car.

"hey." she kinda smiled.

"h–hey." i said back.

after getting our coffees we came back to brendon's place and sat down in the living room.

it was quiet but then y/n broke the silence.

"joshua, i'm really sorry—i should've talked to you when that happened and—"

"this isn't your fault, these things happen," i said. "before we talk about that, i want you to talk about what you've been doing ever since that day."

"well, i bought an apartment and moved to salt lake city so that i can remain close to everyone," y/n sighed "but little did i know our group was gonna drift, how about you?"

"i never went to college, i was a drummer for a band but then left the band when tyler told me that he needed a drummer for his band, we released the band's second album and third album and we got signed into atlantic record and you know the rest.."

"right." she responded back.

"y/n," i sighed. "the night you came back was the best surprised i ever got, but when julie came into the party ruined everything."

i was waiting for her response, i was expecting for her to be like those other people where they would say 'you still cheated!' or something similar, but she wasn't saying anything; she was understanding.

"i was a bit drunk that night, i remember being in the couch minding my own business and then julie just grabbed my hand and took me to the room, she was pressuring me into having sex with her, i kept on saying no, she then went to grab a drink. she gave it to me and that's where everything became blurry," i looked straight into her eyes holding back my tears. "i tried screaming your name but it was just a silent scream, i tried everything to not let that happen, but by then i passed out–"

i felt y/n's soft hand on top of mine, i looked at her she was crying.

"it's okay josh," she cried. "i know the rest, i'm sorry i never talked to you, i'm sorry i jumped into conclusions, i'm sorry i wasn't the there for you."

"don't worry," i said. "it's really something i should be over, but i can't; every single day the trauma gets worse."

"go to a therapist, press charges on julie." y/n said. "she deserves to rot in hell for doing that, silence doesn't mean consent and if you say no there is no consent."

"you're right, i'll try going to therapy." we both stood up and started walking to the front door. "you know, it was great talking to you again."

"yeah, likewise." she smiled.

"see you soon." i smiled and we hugged.

"be safe, and tell tyler and jenna i said hello." i got inside my car and waved at her and left brendon's house.

i came back to the hotel and told tyler and jenna everything, they both got happy.

now i was laying down in my room's bed playing with y/n's old ring that i have her and started humming a panic! at the disco song.

"all was golden when the day met the night."
