it was great clearing things out with josh to be real with you, but the way he is now; he was really traumatized.

all these thoughts were flooding my head, but i decided to just go to sleep for now. it was really late and tomorrow i had work to do.

"y/n," i heard a whisper. i quickly woke up and started looking around for whoever was calling me. "right here!"

"what the—" i turned around.

"in the window, hurry!" i went near the window and saw halsey.

i opened the window and let the skinny girl in. she looked really terrible. "halsey? what's wrong?"

"c-close the window." she said scared. i followed her orders and closed the window.

"tell me what happened." she was really paranoid.

"i-i left my boyfriend," she said. "he's terrible, i was living hell y/n please help me. he has done so many things to me, and i want to hide, he might be here any minute—"

that's when we heard someone at the door, halsey jumped and started shaking. "d-don't open it y/n."

"don't worry it's not him." i said. i opened the door and saw brendon and sarah looking like they just woke up, they were worried.

"y/n," brendon said. "who are you talking to?"

"are you okay?" sarah said. "i heard some screams outside the street."

"yeah i'm fine," i said looking at halsey who was hiding. "it was someone else."

i fully opened the door letting in the urie's to halsey.

"oh my halsey." sarah ran in and brendon went to get the first aid kit.

"halsey it's been years," brendon and i both started helping her. "tell us what happened."

"and i left him for that, he has done way too much to me," halsey said drinking from her cup of coffee. "i regret dating him."

"you're gonna be okay with us, but i think you should be with y/n." sarah said.

"yeah, california is a really known place for you to go," brendon said worried. "y/n lives in salt lake city  just some miles away from dallon and breezy, you could move in with her, your ex won't know you'll be there."

"right," i smiled. "it's gonna be amazing living with you, it'll be like in high school."

halsey let out a huge smile. "you still remember the dumb shit we used to do?"

"who doesn't?" i smiled back.

"yeah who doesn't?" brendon said. "you guys were fucking troublemakers."

we all laughed.

"look guys," sarah said pointing to the window it was already morning. "the sun's already up."

"holy." halsey said.

"we've been talking all night that we lost track of time."

"yeah," sarah laidback. "y'know what?"

"what's up?" i said.

"how about we have a small reunion with everybody?" sarah said. "our friendship in high school was really strong, and—"

"and like dallon said, it'll be a shame if we put our friendship to waste." brendon said.

"but didn't we all drift already?" halsey said.

"a little," i said. "i think our friendship still has a place in everybody's heart."

"it does." brendon said.

"wait, so that means we'll call ryan?!" halsey said smiling. oh god, if only she knew what happened in cape town.

"erm—" brendon said. "i-erm."

"we don't know anything about ryan," i said. "after the cape town thing he lost contact, i guess."

"oh," halsey frowned. "well as long as most of us are together i'll be fine."

"first things first," brendon said. "who has debby's, josh's, tyler's, and jenna's number?"

"i have josh's and debby's." i said.

"great call 'em!" brendon said.

"how about you guys use that one old group chat we had?" halsey said.

"oh right."
