"babe.."

"babe, wake up.."

"what do you want josh?" y/n said going back to sleep.

"i thought you said we were sneaking out." i stood up and turned on the lights.

"no, get those lights off!" she said covering her eyes.

i turned off the lights and laid next to her, and kissed her shoulder. "if you want we don't have to go."

"oh wait, i do wanna sneak out." y/n jumped out and turned on the lights.

she put on her glasses, opened the window, and jumped out.

"but i—okay?" i followed and caught up to her.

"hurry joshua!" y/n said running towards the bicycles next to her car. i got one of the bicycles and started pedaling.

we made a stop at the nearest opened café and bought our usual drinks.

thoughts flooded my mind, and i can tell y/n did too.

"what's wrong?" her cold hand on top of mine?

"it's just—i don't know.."

have you ever got that feeling of telling someone all your thoughts but then suddenly forget? that's what's happening right now.

"are you okay?"

"yeah," i drank from my coffee. "it's just that, isn't it weird?"

"what?" y/n said looking at me straight in the eyes.

"that once the 'special person' comes into your life, they can change you for good and you can't get them out, even if it wasn't meant to be." i said moving my hand away from y/n's.

"because that's what life is, josh," y/n said putting her cup of coffee down. "it's just a bunch of obstacles and lessons. people come and go, some change, you're lucky if you find your true love and true friends."

"well then," i said grabbing y/n's hand. "i'm very lucky."

"i love you."

i stood up and hugged y/n. "ya' ready to rock n'roll?"

"don't ever say that again, but yeah."

time: 3:38 am

josh and i were sitting on the cold floor of my bedroom. we were getting to know each other, again.

"y/n," i turned to see him. "did you ever fall in love with another guy during our 'break'?"

i knew he was going to brought it up soon...

"fall in love?" i shook my head. "i did meet a couple  of guys, but never fell in love with any of them."

"really?" his eyes lit up.

"yah," i said. "brendon even tried to introduce me to others guys, but dallon never agreed with him on that. so i never got to experience the same love i had for you."

"i did meet some people too," he said bringing me close to him. "but ashley and abbie would always talk about you when i was in some 'dates' with other  girls, and eventually never dated anyone else."

after almost two hours of some talk, josh and i were tired.

i stared at the ceiling, thinking, i never thought i'd meet my soulmate, but here we are.

i turned to look at josh who was sleeping right besides me and smiled.

"love is crazy."
