Crushed (1) 🌻 Hanalily Gardens
Ring! Ring! Ring! My alarm clock went for the tenth time today. I finally got out of bed and freaked out when I found out what time it was.
7:30! Ugh, I am going to be late! My classes start at 8 o'clock. I am going to be screwed.
I cannot believe it, this was my first time being late. Arghh, Lilian, what happened to your alarm clock?
If you're wondering who Lilian is, that's me. Lilian Marie Manuel: an unpopular, awkward, honor student in school. I am that kind of person who has only a few friends and would prefer just being with them.
I know I sound very cliche, but it is honestly who I am.
I threw my blanket across the room and ran immediately to the bathroom. After that, I went to my closet and got the first clothes I can find. I rushed to the kitchen and grabbed a couple of apples and walked out of the house.
"Lilian! You are still here?!" My mother said, shocked to find out I wasn't at school yet.
"Yes, ma, I am still here! Now I really need to go. Bye!" I told her as I rushed towards our iron gate.
It was hard finding a taxi to ride and I ended up being 10 minutes late for class. I entered my first class and I was greeted by my teacher, who seemed annoyed with the fact that I was late for her class.
"Well, well, who do we have here?" My History teacher said looking agitated, "This is your first time being late for class, Ms. Manuel. Don't let it be the second time."
"Yes, ma'am." I replied and went to my seat.
"Psssssttttt, Lilian." Someone whispered behind my back once I was able to sit down. It was my best friend, Alana Obrero.
"What?" I asked. "We are still in class, Alana. You can just tell me later."
"Sorry! I am just so excited," Alana gushed. With her pair of brown almond eyes, I can clearly see that she is, indeed, excited.
Excited? Excited for what? I immediately thought. I turned around to ask Alana about it. I was very curious, to be honest.
"Ms. Manuel!" My teacher in front snapped at me. People in the classroom started to look at where I was sitting.
"Why are you looking at the opposite direction to where I am? Am I there? Is the teacher there?" she asked me. "Now, sit properly and pay attention to what I am discussing in front."
"Y-yes, ma'am." I said sheepishly. This is the second time that I got embarrassed today. To add insult to injury, this is only my first class!
I wish things are going to be better for me later on.

Lunch is my fifth period today and it is the only period in school where I can spend time with most of my friends. It is also the only time in school where I can eat as much as I want to.
I bought my lunch at the cafeteria first before sitting at the table where my friends sat. Three of my friends were at a table in one corner. They were Heidi Soriano, Sheila Ocampo and of course, Alana.
"OMG! I can't wait!" Heidi cried repeatedly.
"This is going to be so much fun!" Sheila said, brimming with joy.
"What are you guys talking about?" I said feeling very confused.
Heidi and Sheila both gave a perplexed look and then glanced at Alana.
