Crushed (7) 🌻 The Other Side
The wind from outside rushed through the windows, giving the room a chilly atmosphere. I had arrived early for school and I was sitting on my assigned seat for History class, my first period for today. On my desk was my History notebook, I was rereading my notes for today's quiz.
Bzzzz!
I looked up from my notebook and glanced around. There were only a few people inside the room and no one seemed to move an inch.
It must be my phone.
Bzzzz!
Jayden: LILYYYY
Jayden: Do we have a History quiz today???????
Oh, Jayden. Question marks much????
Me: yeah. you forgot?
Jayden: WHATTT?!
Me: oh boy...
Jayden: Can u help me review pls :(
Me: okay, okay. where are you anyways?
Jayden: still on the wayy
"Whatcha' doing?"
I jumped and jerked my head behind me. Heidi grinned.
"Ohmigosh," I said. "I didn't know you could creep up on people like that!"
The curly-haired girl giggled. "I don't have the energy to shout a lot right now. I'm going to grab a cup of coffee from the cafeteria." She stood up and stretched her arms out as she let out a yawn. "Be right back."
As Heidi rushed outside, I went back to reading my History notes.
Several minutes passed by and Heidi was still nowhere inside the room. I glanced at the chair behind me, the chair where Heidi took a sit.
Alana's seat...
I wondered how she was feeling right now. Not too enraged, I hope.
Should I go check on her?
I think I should.
I took a deep breath and scrolled through the phone's messaging app. It was unnerving to know if she had read the message I sent last night.
Me: hi, alana. are you feeling okay now? sorry for what happened a while ago. . . hope everything is going well for you already. see you tomorrow!
Seen 10:19 PM
I sighed. She won't be replying anytime soon.
Bzzzz!
Jayden: LILYYYYYY
Jayden: I forgot my History boookkkk
Me: you idiot. now run here as fast you can so you can borrow notes.
"Lilian?"
I looked behind me. "Oh, what's up Heidi? You're back now."
Heidi stared at me. Then she smirked. I stared back at her, my face clearly vexed at what is happening.
"Heidi?"
