Hi There,

I'm happy to say that this is the first story I have written that I have been proud to tell. I have no experience at all with the matters that I discuss here so I apologise for any inaccuracy there. I there are any details you think I could improve with the help of some knowledge from you then I'd be happy to hear it. I hope you're comfortable because, as my first completely finished story with a proper story line that is original and completely my own (as far as I know) this story is a stonking 18331 words, spread out over 19 chapters. Yes, there is a little bit of swearing in here but only because sometimes, there is nothing else that says it quite the same way. I had a few songs playing whilst I was writing this which I will list now in a way that, if you don't want to know, you can just skip without worrying about missing some of my awesome writings here.

I listened to: *Billy Joel: Always a Woman, *Carly Simon: Nobody Does It Better, *Dancin' in the Moonlight, *Extreme: More Than Words, *Les Mis: I Dreamed a Dream, *John Legend: All of Me, *Madonna: Papa Don't Preach, *Shania Twain: You're Still The One, *The Cinematic Orchestra: To Build a Home, and some songs from my favourite musical, which is of course, Wicked. There are a few Wicked quotes in here too. Just to put out there, I don't own the rights to ANY of these songs.

So, like every author, I have a few dedications to make while I have you hooked. Firstly, to my mum, who never knows what I'm writing until I'm finished, she's my proof-reader and also my biggest fan. Secondly to an internet couple whose videos I stumbled upon on Youtube one day, who don't even know I exist but their undying hope and determination inspired me. So next up is Ellie and Jared. Thank you for giving me a different and unique perspective on something I didn't know much about to start with.

Last up is a special one. I don't know if you can tell by my writing style that I am only 15 years old; a year 10 student.

My last dedication goes out to Miss H Snelling, my Drama teacher. Not a lot of people have encouraged me in everything I do, but Miss Snelling is one of the people who have never doubted me, never told me I can't do something. However she's feeling, she always goes out of her way to make me feel special. Now, she probably doesn't know how much I admire her, and to tell her in person would be absolutely mortifying to say the least (the very least). Unfortunately, she will be leaving in July 2014 and I speak for myself and all my fellow drama students when I say that I will miss her very much. When I told her my initial idea for this story, I mentioned that I was going to include depression. She told me everything that she knew about depression which has helped me to shape my story, and so a big heads up to you Snell.

My other stories have much less of a structure to them than this one and personally, I'm happy with how this has turned out in the end.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
