Marilyn was locking up shop, and you were calling Murdoc to come pick you up. It wasn't a long walk to your apartment, but seeing Murdoc was always welcomed. You guess Murdoc gave you his number sometime last night because it was in your contacts.
"Murdoc Niccals speaking, God of bass and genius of Gorillaz." He answered, making you laugh. "Are you coming to pick me up?" You asked, Marilyn waiting on you with the keys swinging around her fingers.
"Yes! I'll be there in a couple minutes luv." With that, he hung up. It only left you and Marilyn to talk.
"I see he hasn't grown out of his confidence still." Marilyn joked, taking a seat at one of the outdoor tables and motioning to the one across from her for you to sit.
"Sadly." You joked back, a dorky smile forming again as you sat down.
"Has he done anything wrong to you?" Marilyn asked. Here she came, being the protective mom she was.
"Not at all, if anything he's taken care of me." You answered.
"He better, you tell me if he hurts you. I will personally ruin him and his whole life." She growled, sipping the tea she fixed herself before leaving the shop. "I've seen to many of my friends heartbroken because of that man. I don't want the same for you."
"Is he really that bad?" You asked, now worried for the relationship to progress between you and him.
"Not now probably, but he could still posess some similar tendencies. Just be careful, okay?" Marilyn advised, then standing up.
"Guess I'm helpless." You joked, Marilyn laughing.
"Anyways, I gotta get to my apartment. Gonna watch some documentaries to see if I'm on the UK news yet." She smirked to herself at the thought. "Wish I was."
You gasped at Marilyn. "Don't say that! I care about you! Family over fame Marilyn!" You argued at her, Marilyn just shrugging.
"Whatever, I will never be satisfied." She sighed, walking off to her car.
Before you could chase after to knock some sense into her Murdoc pulled up with peeling tires, turning your attention towards him and suddenly ignoring the subject at hand. It was like everything dropped in your mind but him.
You got up hastily, skipping over to Murdoc's car. "Thanks!" You chirped once you shut the car door back. "My pleasure, luv." He smiled, speed off again.
"Where to?" He asked, speeding past a redlight. "My apartment, I guess. We can watch a couple movies I have." You suggested, Murdoc nodding. "Sounds like a plan."
He swooped around into a parking spot beside your apartment, getting out with a lil pump in his step. It made you happy yourself to see Murdoc so joyful and carefree.
The two of you walked in in silence, got on the elevator in silence, and went inside of the apartment in silence. It wasn't until Murdoc pushed back his bangs with a headband that you actually spoke. It really surprised you.
"Woah, I've never seen you with pushed back bangs." You examined his forehead, it was weirdly well kept for being hid under greasy bangs 24/7. He had some kind of scar on the right side of his head too.
"Ah I just do it on lazy night occasions, good to let the knoggin get some air." She chuckled, slipping off his leather jacket and letting it rest on the sofa.
"What kind of movies do you have?" He asked, walking over and making himself comfy on one of the barstools.
"Steel Magnolias, Heathers, Top Gun, The Outsiders, F/M(ovie), movies like that." You answered, going over to fix drinks. "What would you like tonight?"
