Chapter 2
" Will you just chill out Lacey you look hot." Kelsey reassured me for the hundredth time.
" Are you sure , i feel like i look like a slut." i told her for the hundredth time tonight as i pulled down my short shorts again attempting to make them longer.
" Lacey, don't worry the whole school is here tonight and you most likely wont even see him." she said as we walked through the front gates of the party.
i could see all of the kids walking around the yard with red solo cups in hand as they either were laughing or had a high look of lust in eyes as they were dancing. i made my way towards the rest of our friends that were here that included a few werewolf's. but for the most part we tried to just blend in with the rest of society outside of pack grounds. And, no Kelsey is not a werewolf but that didn't make me not love her any-less. even though sometimes when we have lock downs or have pack duties, it gets quite hard coming up with excuses. i know i should tell her because we don't have any secrets but i don't want her to look at me any different than she does now.
" LACEY , LETS GO DANCE!.." she yelled over the loud music that was playing problem by Ariana Grande.
i simply smiled and let her lead me to the dance floor. We dance for what felt hours. to multiple different songs. and she was right i need this tonight i need to stop worrying about everything that was on my plate right now. whether it was about my birthday that was tomorrow or if it was about Jake.

" Hey Kells I'm gonna get something to drink want anything?" i asked as we were sitting down, finally.
" yea can you grab me a coke, its so hot in here." she said fanning herself.
i walked through the crowd filled with sweaty hot teens, grinding to every song. But i reached the kitchen and grabbed us some cokes until i smelled a scent that i was way to familiar with..
Jake...
i turned around slowly to see Jake standing there still looking the same as he did when we broke up at the beginning of the summer except he was more muscular and even more mouth watering hot.
" Hi Lace." he said whispering in my ear.
oh my lord, someone help me
" Hello Jacob." i said quietly trying to sound as harsh as possible.
" Do you wanna go dance?" he said looking me deep in the eyes, practically begging.
" No, Jake , what part of were over don't you understand."
" The over part Lacey, we both know that were mates and tomorrow we'll find out."
" How exactly do you know that? " i asked him with a scoff, were horrible for each other.
" Because were yin and yang remember" he said pointing to my neck that held a small yin sign on it.
* Flash Back*
" Gosh , Jake unblindfold me already i wanna see it." it was our anniversary and Jake had me sitting on his bed while he went to go and get my gift.
i soon felt something cold on my neck and heard Jake grumbling about it.
" Ok babe open you eyes."
when i looked down i saw half of the yin and yang sign beautifully crafted onto a gold necklace.
" its beautiful Jake." i said looking down at it again, this must have costed him a fortune.
" just like you" he said giving me a peck on the lips.
" Gosh your so cheesy" i said laughing at him.
* End Of Flashback*
It hurt to know that i still had it no matter how hard i tried i couldn't take it off, but he wasn't going to know that.
" Yea do you also remember when you slept with Christine right, yang." i said pushing him away from me. But he was to fast he grabbed my arm softly.
" I'm sorry for that, but i promise when were mates i'll make it up to you everyday for the rest of my life." he said with tears in his eyes.
" Bye Jake." i said removing his hands from me.
i made my way back to Kelsey and told her what happened and we walked back to my house saying that i lived about 4 blocks away.
we walked up to my room and Kelsey soothed me for the rest of the night as i cried myself to sleep.
Please let me find my mate tomorrow.
