Amethyst is a gorgeous gemstone which is one of the most well known for it's deep purple colour. It is mainly used on jewelery, but also for healing properties. Amethyst is a part of the Quartz family, and can sometimes be combined with said gemstone.

How To Recognize Amthyst:Amethyst is a deep purple, if not, lavender purple. It can be seen with Quartz or just itself. There are not many other purple gemstones, so Amethyst will be easily recognized.
Where To Find Amethyst:
The best varieties of amethyst can be found in Siberia, Sri Lanka, Brazil and the far East. Amethyst can be almost worldwide, with countries like Brazil, United States, Russia, South Korea, Southern parts of Austria, Southern Africa, Maissau and so on.
