CHAPTER 13

Jihyo's POV

After I talked to Chaeyoung, I decided to go back to the cafe. That girl really. This is the first time that I saw that side of Chaeyoung because honestly, she would really try her best to understand one person no matter what. But I guess it's different now that Mina came to her life. UGH. Love life is such a hassle.

When I entered the cafe all of them were looking at me. Especially Mina. It seems like she's expecting for someone rather than me.

"Where is Chaeyoung, Jihyo unnie?" Mina asked.

"Oh I left her alone. I think she needs time to think" I replied. Mina frowned and looked down. Seriously. Why can't these two be together if they are LITERALLY acting like a couple already?

I ordered some coffee before I went back to my seat. As I sat down, Sana suddenly asked me, "What's with Taemin, unnie?". I was shocked because of her sudden question. Aish. Should I answer this right now?

I looked at the 7 of them. W-wait... I mean 6.

"Where's Mina?" I asked.

"She went to the restroom" Nayeon said. Okay, this seems more like it. Mina can't know this yet. She wouldn't like it.
I know Mina wouldn't like us judging Taemin on our own perspectives once again.

"So anyway, what's with Taemin that you guys looked all so tense when he came here?" Nayeon said. I looked at Jeongyeon asking for help. She just signalled me to tell them everything.

I told them everything from the start. How Chaeyoung never felt comfortable around Taemin up to their very last encounter and the part where we think she's interested with Mina.

As what I've expected, Nayeon Sana and Momo were shocked. There was a long silence after that.

"Mina can't know about this. She wouldn't like this kind of situation" Momo finally breaking the silence.

"Why?" Dahyun asked. The 3 of them looked at each other. Contemplating whether to say anything or not.

"Come on guys. Who knows we can help?" Tzuyu said.

"We'll do anything to protect Mina unnie." Dahyun added. Finally, the 3 looked convinced.

No one's POV

The 4 of them waited patiently for the latter to tell them what's happening. Sana looked around. Maybe to check if Mina's back yet or not.

"5 years ago, there's this friend of Mina. They were really close. Closer than us, possibly. Her name is Seulgi" she paused as she sighed.

"She goes at the same school with Mina back in Japan. Those two were together almost every second of the day"

"Seulgi was hated by her schoolmates because she doesn't have the luxuries the other students have. She was bullied everyday. Her only friend was Mina. Mina tried to help her in any way.  She always defended Seulgi.

But that time, Mina wasn't there. She's in Korea. She was still beaten by her classmates everyday. And things got worse. Seulgi was accused of stealing something from her classmate. That bitch made Seulgi suffer as she and her other friends stoned Seulgi to death" Momo finished.

All of them looked down as they didn't know how much Mina went thru. They didn't know how Mina hates it when people just tend to judge people just because of their personal reference. How it was easy for people to just accuse someone just because. The story gave them a clear explanation of what happened earlier.

"What happened to Mina after that?" Jeongyeon asked.

"She used her family's power to kick that bitch out of school knowing it wouldn't be easy for the school alone to do that. But Mina got depressed. She wouldn't go to school anymore. She locks herself up in her room and she didn't eat for 2 weeks"
