CHAPTER 21: Part 2

Third Person's POV

Everything flashed into Dahyun's consciousness like a supernova. Everything was so fast but she never missed any single scene on the movie-like pictures that appeared on her head. Her hands and legs wobbled as the killing scene appeared on her head. Doctor Lee was worried that Dahyun's subconscious might not be able to handle the energy coming from the regression but she trusts Dahyun enough and let her be.

Once Dahyun's body stopped shaking, the Doctor Lee took the signal that Dahyun was ready to wake up. He rang the  bell and Dahyun opened her eyes after a few moments.

Dahyun's POV

What... in the fucking world... was...that?

Everything was so clear. I can see Chaeyoung- I mean, Jan Dae's blood all over the place. As well as that girl who... who looked exactly like Mina.

"Dahyun!" I heard someone shout. I looked to my left and Doctor Lee was already sat in front of me.

"Wae-yo?" I asked.

"The tears in your eyes," he pointed at my eyes. I touched the corner of my right eye and it's wet, "I can tell that you had a tough dream, right?"

A dream.

I wish it was all a dream.

To be very honest, I don't like any bits of my past life. My past life was dedicated to being a soldier of the Chae- I mean Jan Dae, that's why I spent my whole life training with her. I was actually shocked that I was a soldier tho. I have imagined myself being a soldier but I never really saw my future with it...

The only good part was the tragic love story of Na Ri and Jan Dae that I had to witness with my own eyes.

But even that has its thorns...

I really, really, really hate that killing scene. It made me cry obviously and I didn't want any of that to happe-

"Dahyun-ah!"

"Ah Jinjja! Why do you keep on-" I faced him and immediately covered my mouth because of my own words. I'm sorry! Did I just mention that I hate being interrupted when I'm thinking?

Doctor Lee waved a hand in front of me, "It's fine. Now, tell me what happened."

I told him everything and I appreciate that he was really thinking through it. Telling what I saw was a really frustrating action. Everything was clear yet it's hard to turn them to words. The soldier who died and that girlfriend of hers, they really look like... no, they are Chaeyoung and Mina unnie. Even Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Sana, Momo unnie and Tzuyu were in my past life.

And the fact that every event that happened before are in sync with what is happening now, no this can't be.

It can't be that History repeats itself right?

So this was all Chaeyoung's dreams meant. That her and Mina unnie killed themselves just to be with each other.

"Dahyun, I know that you have already put the pieces together. And I don't want to say this but...yes, history is repeating itself. What I need you to do now is to stay out of danger. Everything is up to you. You know exactly what happened before and I trust you that you will know how to prevent those." Doctor Lee said in a calm tone.

"B-but, is it possible tha-that we can still prevent history from repeating? I-I don't want my friends to die..." I said in a 30% confident voice. I started shaking once again. I do not want my friends to get killed. No, never.

"I could not tell you that. But I believe that people are only variables. Variables can change through time and I hope you know just how to do that." He replied.
