I wake up to the sound of deep moans, and I know its time for the daily sweep. We've been getting fairly lucky that no one has tried to come inside, or zombies haven't noticed us much. We don't have a problem in this warehouse, but we did get someone to join us, we met him on the road.

-Flash back-

"I'm Zack, nice to meet you Clare and Troy, I was wondering if you have a camp, or something, or if we could become a team, I don't know but I'm hungry and lost." Zack said. We met him like 10 minutes ago and the guy won't seem to be quiet as soon as we said our names, he's fascinated to have company.

Rose comes up from behind and scares me, I didn't know she tagged along. She immediately looks at the newcomer and says, "Who's that? Did you kidnap them?" And I start laughing. But I see a look in her eyes...a crush? Possibly, he isn't so bad. Zack is actually pretty good looking.

Troy notices me staring at Zack, and he leans over and kisses my forehead. A sign that drives Zack crazy with curiousity. "Omg! Are you guys a thing?! It's been so long since I've seen a teenage couple!!" He looked excited, and I wasn't so sure if that was safe, knowing how much of a lunatic he is.

Rose is still staring, and so I just casually say, "Zack are you single?" and he nods. I knew it. Of course, I seize the opportunity, "Zack, you should go with Rose to get some water at a nearby river, I will stay here with Troy to keep watch around, just scream if u need help."

He gladly takes the opportunity, and Rose shoots me a thankful but worried look. She's never been one for relationships, much less ones with a guy she just met.

"I thought you liked him," Troy says. I responded, "Well, if I did, would I have sent him with Rose? And not me?" He winks and hugs me. Tight. I feel so comfortable in his arms, I don't seem to notice that Rose and Zack are screaming.

I get up, and start running towards the river, and see a horrible sight. Zombies are coming...and fast. Rose is in the lake, trying to run with Zack to the bay, away from the zombies, and unfortunately, away from us too. I quickly make a plan to dash for it, and Troy grabs my arm.

"I'm going to go distract them while you cross the pond, okay?" I respond, "No, you will not. Your injured, and you shouldn't have been running. I could've came alone and you would've been okay. Your going in that river, and I don't want u to argue with me. Please Troy." He nods his head, and dashes for the water. He swims fast, but there's blood leaking on the surface. I hope Rose knows how to bandage.

As soon as he's across, I dash to the water. But unfortunately, the blood attracted zombies to experiment water. Although they are slow, I am not so fast myself. I'm skipping across the dirt under the water, on the tips of my feet. And zombies are approaching fast, hungrier than ever.

Somethnig grabs me by the foot, and I am dragged under. I get scared, and thrash around. Splashing this way and that. I know I'm going to die here. It's pulling me under, and all I can think about is, what did I do to deserve this fate?
