I rush over to see if they are alright, and to check if they have any bites, but they are clear. I pull them both into a bear hug, and I know that I am no longer alone. I will do anything to take better care of them.

I knew that they needed to be filled in, so I started explaining, "Rose, Troy, I am so thankful you are both alive, but I need to tell you something. I locked Zack in a room, and Sarah Higgins, because they are the masterminds of this zombie apocalypse. Remember Rose? Dr. Zack Muteral? I forgot, and when I read about it in the papers I acquired, it all made sense. We need to keep him alive, so I am getting food and water for him, and Sarah. Help yourselves, and I will be down shortly."

I head off in the direction of the kitchen, and get a bottle of water, and a packaged sandwich. I make my way up the stairs to Zack's chamber and stand behind the door, to the side, while I open the box where he would peer to check on his work.

I open it, and just as I thought, he started stabbing through, and trying to hurt whoever opened, so I throw the water bottle in, as well as the sandwich, hoping it hits him straight in the face. He should learn something hopefully.

He starts eating like a madman, and drinking, and I close the box up. I go down to the kitchen again, to look for something better for Sarah to eat, after all, she was a little nice to me in school.

I decide on getting her a turkey wrap, with frozen yogurt, and a vitamin water. But I bump into Troy while making my way to the stairs, and all I do is put the food on the nearest counter, and he pulls me in a tight hug.

"I was worried about you Clare, don't ever do that to me again, please," he says, pleadingly.

"It wasn't my intention to worry you, or Rose. I needed to do this to save all of the people that were affected. I wasn't going to let the world rot. I wanted everyone to be back, even possibly the dead." I say.

He pulls me in a tighter hug, and I embrace the warmth he gives off. I feel safe, and I feel comforted. I missed him. I missed his smile, his smell, although it wasn't very pleasant, ahem. But I felt like I was normal for a short amount of time.

I kissed his cheek, and told him to ask the scientists where they sleep, and to get me a room as well, and he set off to do so. I grab the food on the counter, and reach Sarah's office. I open the box the same way as I did Zack's, but she didn't do the same, so I backed away and stood on my toes.

I peered in, and the sight was horrible. Her window had been open, and zombies, had come in through there, and she was defenseless. I saw her lifeless body in the corner, and her eyes were like a black hole, taking you into a stage of such despair, it almost paralyzes you.

Rose comes to my aid, and helps me to come back to my senses, and I realize what I should've realized before, that wasn't Sarah. That was her twin sister, the innocent and sweet one. My first instinct was that she was not dead, and that she had escaped. But I was proven right, in a sense.

"Looking for me? I am right behind you." a voice behind me asks.

I turn around and, just as I thought, the real Sarah Higgins, was in front of me, and she didn't look happy to see her work, turned around for the good, but she didn't look like she wanted me to be here either.

Rose ran down the stairs to get Troy, and security, but I was left with nothing but a vitamin drink, and a turkey wrap, so I did the unthinkable, I grabbed the turkey from the wrap and stuck it up her nose.

She straggled around a bit, trying to regain her balance after my attack, so I took it as an advantage. I turned around and kicked her legs, and she fell on the floor. On the floor, my feet were there to, and so I was dragged down.

She grabbed my foot and pulled me close the railing so that I would fall if she pushed me, and she had her arm on my neck, so that I couldn't break of her hold. I knew one place that she was weakest, her right leg she broke 3 months ago.

I kicked her right leg, with my free foot, and she yelped out in pain, I got up quickly and grabbed her arm to put her in handcuffs, except I didn't have any, I only had plastic wrap.

With the plastic wrap, I took out the turkey wraps and threw them, while they landed on one of the scientist's head, and some went into the concoction the person was making. I hoped I didn't mess it up.

I retrieved the plastic wrap, as she was still in pain, and she couldn't move her legs, making it easier for me to keep her down. I wrapped the plastic wrap around her wrists and fingers, making it impossible for her to break out of it.

I walked her down the stairs, where security was running to come and help me, but I had helped myself in that situation. But Troy, was looking at me, with his head at an angle. I knew something was up.

  "What's wrong?" I asked Troy.

"Your neck, it's bleeding." he replies.

I bring my fingers up to my neck, and sure enough, it hurt to touch. I was losing blood, and soon I was losing consciousness, and I knew, then and there, I had not won the battle, but merely a round.
