Bryce's POV
It is Halloween week and I am happy because we have team dances and because Lindsey and I got the two highest scores. She is the nicest person on the show and we have been friends for three years now because of YouTube. She looks at me and mouth, "You can have him." I am confused until I realize what she means. She picked Frankie instead of Jordan so I can have Jordan. I pick Jordan, Victoria, and Vanessa and she picked Frankie, Drew, and Nikki. I cannot believe it!
We get to team rehearsals and Vanessa says, "Can we have two duet pieces where Victoria and I dance and Jordan and Bryce dance together?" Everyone agrees and I couldn't be more excited. On top of dancing to The Greatest Show from the The Greatest Showman, our team is dancing to the Thriller/Heads Will Roll mashup from Glee. I cannot wait to dance!
After the first round, Jordan, Lindsey, and I all are tied with 30s and it is time for the team dance. I am so nervous. I want this so bad. Jordan can tell I am nervous and runs over to kiss me. He whispers, "Let's go kill this together!"
The number is going perfect so far and now it is time for the end of the dance: Jordan and I's duet. We both do a double back hand spring and resume hold like nothing and then Jordan dips me and kisses me. So that is how he wanted to end the number. I look at Vanessa and Victoria smirking like they accomplished something.
Fast forward to the end of the night, we get a perfect score, but something surprising happens: Vanessa and Nikki get eliminated at the same time with Frankie being the last one called safe. I am safe but I am sad to see them two go because I love them both. I hug Nikki and she whispers to me, "Let me know when you want to go on a double date and also make an appearance on WWE. I will miss you Bry!" I go hug Vanessa next and she says, "I cannot wait to see you at Christmas and win this damn mirror ball for me!"
After saying goodbye, I head back to my dressing room, only to see Simone, Jax, and Olivia in there looking sad. I ask them, "What is going on?" Simone says, "You might want to read this letter I just received." I look at the letter and begin reading.
"Dear Bryce and Jax,
I wanted to tell you how sorry I am for treating you the way I did. Watching you two grow up this past year has made me realize I made a mistake by standing by your father. For that, I am truly sorry. Your father had a heart attack last week and died from it. I know he treated you guys wrong, especially Bryce, but I just thought you would want to hear it from me. If you want to, please call me and we will talk about how you guys want the funeral to happen. I love you boys and hope you forgive me.
With all my love,
Mom
P.S. Bryce, Jordan is a good guy. Keep on to him. I cannot wait to meet him one day.
I sit there frozen for a couple minutes before Jax comes over and hugs me. He says, "I am fine with whatever you decide, but just so you know, I got cast as Kevin Keller on Riverdale and will be leaving to film this week." I nod, congratulate him, and leave the room. I don't even go to see Jordan. I just head home and lay in my room. I start crying and I don't know why. I hear a knock at my door. I get up, wipe my eyes, and see Jordan standing there.
"What are you doing here?"
"Liv told me that you needed some comforting and figured I would be the best person to do so. Plus, I wasn't going to let my Cinderella leave without her glass slipper." Jordan replied and I laughed. "There's the laugh I missed."
I take Jordan to my room and explain everything that happened and how I don't know what to do. He looked at me and said, "I will support you in whatever you decide. I would love to meet your mom and I think this will provide you closure, but you are not alone in this. You have me."
I kiss Jordan and say to myself, "How did I get so lucky?"
