Ragin turned, and kicked himself into a sprint, using the distraction caused by Akaysha's magic and fire. If he was able to get onto her back again, they may have a chance to get into the air and escape. The large green dragon would take a while longer to get into the air, and the others he might be able to hold back with a few arrows and spells. There was still that brown dragon though, circling around the clearing and waiting.

He didn't get far however as the yellow dragon pounced toward him. Akaysha sent him a mental warning, and he ducked to the side, rolling away from the talons that attempted to trap him. Without hesitating he swung his sword at the dragon's leg. He felt a slight resistance as he hit a ward, but then his sword continued threw, easily cutting magic, scales, and then flesh, giving the dragon a large narrow gash across the foreleg.

It growled in more surprise then pain and hopped away from him with a snarl. The kull on its back bellowed angrily, plucking a massive sword with no sheath from his back. The blade was a light yellow that gleamed dangerously in the sunlight. For the first half it was a normal enough, a standard two handed broadsword with a thick base and long hilt. But the last half of the blade was strange. It curved in a 'C' shape, as if the smith that made it got board of creating the standard straight swords. It only had a single edge, but Ragin doubted that would be much of an advantage for him.

The large urgal swung from his dragon's back and landed heavily on the ground, "You will pay for that, tiny human."

"Come and make me," Ragin challenged, twirling his far narrower and leaner blade.

The urgal grunted with content and charged, easily closing the distance between them within two steps. He swung the blade down toward Ragin with a surprising amount of speed and force considering the size of the weapon. It still wasn't fast enough to catch the thief. He danced nimbly backwards, letting the golden blade slide within an inch of his nose, before it slammed into the ground.

Far quicker than should have been possible, the kull pulled back on his sword, bringing it up and slicing it in a sideways arch causing the rogue dragon rider to jump backwards yet again, too far away to attack safely with his own sword. He narrowed his eyes as once again the other dragon rider readied himself, seeming to be calming down a little now, holding the sword in front of him, the wicked curved gleaming dangerously in the sunlight.

Ragin studied his opponent, keeping his face and features completely neutral so he gave away as little about himself as possible. This urgal was far better than Uthun had been, stronger as well, and faster. With such a large blade it was difficult to think anything but large and bulky, but this particular kull wielded his sword with precision and finesse in perfect contrast to the amount of pure power it could also deliver. It would be a difficult fight, one that Ragin didn't think he would easily win. He didn't want that, the quicker he could get past this urgal the better. It left only one option.

Ragin leapt forward, his blade lowered toward the ground. He was going to need a lot of power behind his next strike. As he predicted, the kull responded by bringing his sword up and then down in an overhead strike. The thief grinned as time almost seemed to slow down and a single word left the rider's lips.

"Haresh."

Suddenly a surge of strength rushed up the young man's arms. He gripped the pommel of his sword in his two hands and swung back at the approaching sword. The two blades clashed in a cacophony of sound. A startled cry left the urgal as, instead of beating down the young man's sword, his own weapon was smashed out of his grip and sent flying into the sky.

Feeling the sudden strength beginning to wane, Ragin spun, too close to his opponent to use his sword, and sunk his left elbow in the urgal's rib cage. He felt something crack under the blow. Continuing with the advantage and using the last of his unnatural strength he slammed the hilt of his sword into the kull's temple, knocking him clean out.
