Ashton's POV
While Vicky went to the bathroom I continued the conversation with Cherry. She was an interesting person. Even though she had amnesia on what happened to her, what happened to her parents, and what her name really is she remembers what she likes and believes in. But of course, can't everyone remember that?
"I believe that gays and lesbians are people too. Like I think that boy on boy relationships or girl on girl is still love." She says. I nod. She believes in the deepest things. And how she explains what she believes in is like poetry. I don't interrupt her, I just let her talk and talk. Then when she makes a joke and giggles it's like the cutest thing ever.
Vicky soon comes back in with the doctor.
"I'm sorry to bother you kids," the doctor apologeticly says looking at me. "But Cherry has to rest now." Then he looks at Vicky and whispers something to her to make her nod like she approves of what he said. I look her for just a second. Is she doing the overprotective shit again? I told her when we got back together that I get she does not want to lose me but making me push everyone away, not just girls, is frustrating and annoying. I sigh and smile. I need to not make a scene here. I get up and tell Cherry that I'd talk to her tomorrow. She smiles brightly and I feel the pit of my stomach feel warm and tingly. I walk out of the room with my overprotective girlfriend. I make sure we're far away from Cherry's room to get onto Vicky for what she did.
"Why won't you stop worrying about losing me?" I ask her seconds before we hit the hospital exit.
"I already lost you twice. I can't lose you a third." She says. A grim tone lanced in her voice. It almost surprises me how grim it was.
"Vicky. You need to chill out. Just because I like to talk to another female doesn't mean anything."
"Oh yeah? Then how come I keep seeing you make that same face you made when you looked at me before we ever got together?"
"I think she's fascinating. Just like I thought you were. Just that." I explain.
"Stop lying to me Ashton. Admit you love her more than me." She starts tearing up and her voice is breaking. I stop and grab her hand. I pull her to me and kiss her hard in the middle of the parking lot. Her hand finds its way into my hair and my hands finds it way to her butt. I cup it animalistically. Claiming ownership. After a long time I pull away.
"There, does that answer your question?" I growl in her ear. She moans. I grab her hand and drag her the rest of the way to the truck.
"I'm gonna show you how much I love you tonight." I say, practically throwing her into the vehicle. I'm tired of her questioning my love for her. I'm gonna show her dammit.
