"No..I would prefer it if I didn't have a ghost following me around."

Cara stares at you blankly, before her eyes fade to white, then black.

"I WILL come with you. Whether you like it or not." She speaks in a scratchy, scary voice.

Your heart speads up and you run, but no matter how much you run, the exit seems to get further and further.

"You can't run, nor can you hide." The ghost screams, black blood dripping from her mouth and eyes in waves.

You drop to your knees, tears dripping down your face and scream out:

"NO! I WILL NOT DIE TONIGHT!"

You stand and turn around to face her. She is lunging at you at record speed and you outstrech your arm ahead of you, determined to stop her.

You came here for a reason.

You WILL save your friend.

And some flimsy ghost girl won't stand in your way.

You screw your eyes shut and hold your ground. Then silence envelops you. Complete and utter silence.

You can't even hear your own heartbeat.

You slowly open your eyes and see the rows of bookshelves still there.

Cara is nowhere in sight. The key is still in your hand. You breathe and stand still for a couple of moments before you let your hand fall limp at your sides.

You take a step towards the door and stop to listen for any movement.

None.

Good.

You walk out of there and back in the hallway.

But something isn't right.

It's too dark. Even for an abandoned run down living house.

Then something clambers its way up into your mind.

The warning. The warning from the little notebook.

'Mind the shadows.'

So you freeze and concentrate. You need to feel them. The Hunters, in order to avoid them.

But...how? They are out of reality, out of this world.

Then you realize, that's the answer to your question.

You need to break that thin line your mind made to separate the reality and the paranormal.

It needs to be gone completely for you to feel the paranormal beings in real life space.

But..how?

How do you break everything you deem as reality, how?

Then, you notice movement.

And you can basically hear something in your head break.

Your most basic survival insticts.

They will break whatever line needs to be broken to keep you alive.

And now, you feel them. You feel their movement, their intents.

You feel it all.

Now, you can defend yourself and win this damn game!

Movement. Your skin crawls.

You turn around and observe. You see the creature. Oh so clearly now.

Its...hideous..

Black with worms writhing about building its body.

Its more than a shadow.

Its so much more.

You hold your stomach tight and struggle to peel your eyes away from the Hunter.

It lurches at you and you try to dodge but it lands on you.

You gasp for breath and then it slips some of the worms in your mouth.

You scream and try to spit it out but they're already crawling down your throat and its too late.

Then you feel them in your stomach, burrowing around and eating away, and you scream out in immense pain and agony.

The Hunter moves away from you, back into the shadows and you try to vomit the worms out, but they're in too deep.

They slither inside your weak body and rip your organs to bits, causing you so much pain, you wish for death.

You wish to end the agony.

You wish to die.

"Your wish is my command." You hear the ethereal voice of the house speak and then the floorboards crack open beneath you and you fall.

Fall into its mouth, and as it bites down, one last tear slips from your eyes before you're gone.

"You were a delicious meal."

Your mind picks up in the last few seconds before it all stops.
