I woke up the next morning a couple minutes before the alarm and sighed. I went ahead and stopped it, so that it wouldn't stress me out as much later and got dressed. I put on my black starbucks shirt and black jeans, shoving my apron to the bottom of my backpack. I walked out to the living room, seeing that the girls had fallen asleep on the couch. I smiled and walked to the vainity by the door, brushing my hair up into a ponytail.
Since I got up early I decided to just walk to the place, with it only being a couple blocks away. It's weird to be out walking this early, like the world hasn't woken up yet, you know? I saw some people walking their dogs and a lady frantically yelling at a cat in a tree. I took a shortcut throught the park just to avoid her. Pretty soon I could see the starbucks in the distance. everytime i walk it feels like this epic quest to reach the ultimate goal of Work. Amazing. I know.
My phone went off and I realized I got a text from Steph. "You forgot to turn off the alarm clock this time." It read. I chuckled to myself and told her sorry. I walked to the back door of Starbucks and walked in. Josh was already working in the back and told me to go open the doors and man the cash register. It was just us two today I guess, and I have a feeling that lunchtime will be terrible. Josh brought me the first coffee of the day, so I could actually wake up.
Pretty soon people begun coming in and I got to work. it was just your normal day honestly. I kept the post from tumblr in my head incase I needed it, but most the people coming in were just tourists. No one i could substain this idea with. After a while the rushes where over and it was only an hour away from closing time. No one usually comes in that much after four.
Well that is until I saw a somewhat framiliar face. He had teal hair that I swear I regonized from a bit ago. I know I've seen him before, somewhere. He stuttered through his order but eventually just asked for a Perppermint Mocha, Telling me his name is Scott Major. i decided that if I want this plan to come into action, he would be the best option. When Josh handed me his cup I wrote "Scot Majorr" just to see if he would notice.
Scott eyed his cup before walking out of the store. I sighed and leaned against the counter. Josh came by and asked what happened, so I explained the Tumblr post. He looked at me, and for a second I thought he was going to laugh. Instead he got the schedule out and looked at it. "I know him, we used to hang. I learned that every other night around this time he comes here for some reason. It was kinda funny" he said, highlighting times on the schedule. Me and him worked them all, so this should be easy.Over the next few weeks, I kept misspelling his name. It was actually kinda fun, and Josh would join in with the naming as well. Plus, this was the longest I've ever been at the register and I'm loving the lack of work. I'm not saying I'm lazy, it's just how the frick frack am I supposed to do any of this. I'm glad to be in this position of power, and I'm even more glad that Scott keeps coming back.
