I spent the rest of the night at Scott's place. We didn't talk much, he made the couch for me and then went to bed without saying much. I don't know if he thinks I'm mad at him, but it's fine. I shot the girls a texting saying that I wouldn't be home for the rest of the night. I didn't explain anything, just said that I was safe.

The next morning I woke up a few minutes before Scott had, so I cleaned up the couch and folded the blankets. I noticed that Alicia and Steph had completely blown up my phone which is.. terrifying. Those two believe that double texting is the worst possible thing for anyone to do, which means that I'm in trouble. "You know you really don't have to do that, you're the guest," I heard him as he walked out of his room, still in pajamas. It didn't take me long to regain consciousness after seeing him in plaid pants and rebuttal with, "You know you really don't have to be so nice to me, I'm the Starbucks employee." He laughed and shook his head.

"So where did you run off to yesterday," I asked.

"I thought my friend was in the hospital, turns out he just needed help recording."

    "Oh."

"Why where you back at work?"

"Josh's fiancée went into labor, so I covered for him."

    "Tell him I said congratulations."

    "Will do."

We sat in an incredibly awkward silence for a bit before I had a genius idea. There this little fair that's just a few blocks down! I could take him there saying that it's just for a thank you gift but it's actually.. honestly it's just going to be that. I just want to completely clear the slate from yesterday. I know, you want the dramatic events, but that's a lot of work and I'm lazy.

"Can I take you somewhere?" We both said. Huh. What a weird set of words to say at the same time as someone else. "Wait, where do YOU want to go," I asked. I.. I still can't process what he said after that. "A couple blocks up the street there's this fair, and I w-"

"THE fair?"

"Yes?"

"That's exactly where I was going to say."

So, after he actually got dressed, we went to the fair. I shoved my work apron into my bag and changed into the clothes I kept in there for emergencies. I don't think I'll pee my pants today, so it's okay if I don't have the emergency pair for at least until we get back. Hopefully. Anyways, I slung the bag over my shoulder and we headed out.

Honestly, at this point you could go to any teen movie and insert the fair montage. We did the normal things: ride the Ferris wheel (except this one actually works and didn't stop for an awkwardly long time at the top), we won each other prizes, and  rode that terrifying monster of a ride that just spins you in a circle so you stay against the wall. I have no clue why that was invented, and I despise it.

Nothing much happened after that. We walked home, he dropped me off at the apartment and then went home. We talked a bunch and I got to know a lot about him- even though most of it was me rambling because I ramble when I'm anxious. I walked through the door to the apartment and went straight to my room. I had to write every detail of today and yesterday night down before I forgot what actually happened. The girls knocked at my door, but I told them to wait for like five minutes.

After I was done typing, I walked out to the girls to face their wrath. "We were so worried about you!" Steph practically screamed. They went on about the statistics of me dying or being kidnapped because I was a woman alone at night and I waved them off. I had them sit as I explained the whole story. They were touched at first, then went back to yelling.

    Oh well.
