Chapter 1: New Arrivals

"There it is," mother nodded. "Jade Mountain Academy." She flew down to the ground and landed near the entrance cave. Dragons and dragonets were gathered all around. The place was filled with a good vibe. The air smelled fresh, the atmosphere suffocated in chatter and laughter. My father and I landed next to mother, who was inspecting Jade Mountain. Suddenly, a gold SandWing with no barb at the end of her tail rushed out of the mountain, ran up to my mother and hugged her. "Sunny! So nice to see you again," mother told her, hugging back. They let go as me and father watched. "Glory! I'm so glad you came! How have things in the rainforest been?" Sunny asked. "Oh, they've been fine. Except for those NightWing prisoners who've escaped. Nobody knows where they are. I mean THREE MOONS WHY DOESN'T THE RAINFOREST EVEN HAVE A HALF DECENT DUNGEON? FOR MOONS' SAKE THERE HAS ALREADY BEEN SO MUCH DRAMA but anyway how have you been?" Mother asked Sunny. "Here? Oh, it's been great here! Apart from AN ENTIRE WINGLET ESCAPING SCHOOL TO GO ON A SUICIDE MISSION TO SAVE THE WORLD! But that's all in the past now." Sunny says. Mother nods then kneels down so our eyes are levelled with each other. "Teardrop, this is when we say goodbye. I love you, my little droplet." She says, wrapping her wings around me in a hug. "I love you mum." I whisper. Mother lets go and father kneels down and hugs me. "Don't worry Tear, Sunny will lead you in and help you. And if she DOESN'T then SO HELP ME I will THROW A CHAKRAM AT HER HEAD." He whispers. I giggle and hug him back. "Love you dad," I whisper. Father releases me. Sunny's gone already, but I'm not bothered. "I heard that, Deathbringer." Glory growls. "Haha. Don't worry, I won't hurt her," father promises. "Love you both!" I yell as they spread their wings. "Love you Tear!" They both cry out before zooming into the trees and disappearing.
