We woke up that next morning Lily was awake in the living room drawing I woke up next to Marahall he looks so adorable when he's sleeping. I slip out of bed and go start making breakfast. Lily and I sat at the table and ate, I didn't want to wake Marshall up he's been working so hard lately I thought I'd let him finally sleep in.
10am
Marshall walked out to the living room rubbing his eyes trying to wake up a bit he plopped down next to me and laid his head on my shoulder and layed a hand over my belly. It didn't take long when we both felt a kick, "Woah, Marshall did you feel that?" I got excited
"Yeah, was that the baby?" He shot his head up.
"Yeah! Oh my gosh babe!" A huge smile appeared across my face.
"Lily come here baby quick." Marshall called for Lily, she came up and Marshall instructed her where to place her hand, we waited.
"Woah, what is that?" She asked in shock.
"That's the baby in there kicking and moving around." Marshall lit up.
"That's your baby alright, has a strong little spunk to em" I joked kissing Marshall. Not even 30 minutes later the guys all came over Marshall told them about his record deal and told them about what he had planned for his music career.
Lily and I were in the kitchen and we came out and joined the boys.
"Man don't be goin Hollywood on us now don't forget about your boy here" Proof joked.
"Na man it aint gunna be like that" Marshall promised.
"Yo what the hell is that?" Future said looking at my ring.
"Uh yeah kinda alots happened in the last few days, we got engaged, we had a Drs appointment, Lily's staying with us and about 20 minutes ago we felt the baby move for the first time." Marshall filled them all in.
"Congrats man! I'm happy for you both!" Proof smiled
"Way ta go man!" Sol congratulated
"Congratulations" cheddar said
"I'm proud of you man, finally gettin your shit together." Future said Marshall had to warn them about the language in front of Lily. Iz congratulated us. The boys went outside and talked while Lily and I stayed inside, she was playing with her toys and I was writing in my journal I started doing that once I found out I was pregnant.
After a few hours passed Marshall came in and told me he's going to grab a couple drinks with the guys to celebrate. I kissed him and told him I love him and to have fun. He kissed me and Lily then leaned over and kissed my belly he grabbed a sweatshirt and walked out the door. Later that evening I heard a knock on the door, Lily was on the living room floor playing I got up and answered it was someone I was not expecting to see, my ex boyfriend.
"Hey, can we talk for a minute." He asked I looked over at Lily and quickly shut the door so he didn't have a chance to look inside I didn't want him to see Lily sitting inside
"I don't have anything to say to you." I said frustrated.
"Please I need to talk to you, it'll only take a minute." He begged, I was wearing one of Marshall's baggy sweatshirts it probably did a good job of hiding my baby bump.
"What did you wanna talk about?" I asked
"I wanted to talk about us." He confronted.
"There is no us, we broke up we can't be together." I explained.
"Chelsey please..." He was cut off my walking towards me and accidentally feeling by belly ohh fuck I thought.
"Are you pregnant?" He asked looking down at my bump I tried to keep hidden.
"Yeah" I said anxiously I ran my fingers through my hair and didn't even think about the engagement ring I was wearing.
"What's that?" He asked his mood shifted quickly.
"I think it would just be best if you left." I said trying to make my way to open the door when he put his hand up to block me from entering.
"You been fucking around on me?" He asked slowly getting closer to me.
"Conner, we arn't together anymore can you please just leave." I asked again.
"Who's baby is it?" He asked getting in my face, I knew this was going to be bad I had a feeling I slowly backed away and he asked again. I didn't want to say it was Marshall's and risk anything.
"Conner we broke up, I moved on you should too." I said backing up farther he grabbed me and started yelling and screaming at me. I knew whatever happened I had to make sure my baby was safe, I instinctively tried to protect my belly.
"If I ever find him I'll kill him" he started as he shoved me I fell down the stairs that lead up to the front door. I was sore, in pain but I tried standing,
"Wow baby your so clumsy let me help you up." He stood me up, he looked at me and slapped me across the face I tried fighting back to be able to get away but it was no use, I had to protect Marshall and I's unborn baby.
Conner threw me down to the floor and began hitting and kicking me as I tried getting away, yelling for help. Lily went to the window and saw what was happening, I saw her through the window and mouthed to her to call 911 without Conner realizing what I was doing.
He continued hitting, punching, kicking me. Finally I heard the sirens thank God I thought to myself, he kicked me one more time before running off I dropped my head to the floor and waited for them to find me.
The police got there and called for a ambulance it was so painful to breathe, blood was on my face along with on the concrete in front of the stairs.
I was placed on a gurney and I told the police about Lily and to call Marshall they told me that they would let him know about what happened.
•Marshall's point of view•
We were at the bar when my phone rang unknown number, I ignored it a few seconds later it rang again unknown number, I ignored it again, then the number called again and I answered it.
"Is this Marshall Mathers?" The person on the phone asked
"Yeah?" I said back
"You need to get down to the hospital rate away, there's been a accident." The person said I hung up and jumped over the table and ran as fast as I could outside and into the car I sped to the hospital and ran into the front desk, there were two police officers standing there waiting.
"Mr. Mathers?" One asked, I just nodded my head.
"Chelsey is in surgery, there were signs of assault and she suffered from a collapsed lung, some broken ribs, and a broken leg." The officer explained. I felt my heart shatter I knew exactly what happened.
"Is she going to be okay?" I asked starting to let my emotions get the best of me.
"She's in surgery, the doctors are trying to work on her lung but it all depends." Another officer added they apologized. I told them everything I knew about her ex, and how he was most likely to be the one to have done this, they wrote down the information signaled to a officer sitting with Lily and left.
I saw Lily sitting in the waiting room crying I ran up to her and held her and cried with her. It was the worst few hours of my life not knowing what was going on with her, if she was going to be okay, if our baby was going to make it.
