•Marshall's Point of View•
It's been a month since Keenan told me about our record deal, I've been writing more and more and I've gone to the studio a couple times, tonight I'm relaxing with my family before I get on a plane tomorrow to fly out to go meet Dre.
Chelsey fed Ava while I went to go get Lily, we watched movies and cuddled until Lily fell asleep, I told her that I was leaving for a little bit but I told her that I would be back soon.
I wanted Chelsey to know that no matter what they were my top priority and I wouldn't go along with this if she wasn't okay with me going but she told me to go and as much as it's going to kill me to leave my family behind I knew that I had to see where this was going to go.
The next morning Keenan came by to pick me up, I hugged and kissed Lily,
"Be good for Chelsey when I'm gone okay? She's going to need your help around the house and with baby Ava okay? I said kneeling down to her.
"Okay." She said hugging me. I walked over to Ava that was laying in the bassinet and I picked her up and held her.
"Daddy's going to miss you so much honey." I place her back down in her bassinet then walk up to Chelsey.
"Baby I love you so much, and I know this is going to be hard for us to do but I want to try to give you and the girls the best life possible." I explain to her.
"I know Marshall, we can get through this I know we can"
"Remember about what I told you, if you ever need anything just tell me." I reassured her before walking into her embrace. I took a deep breathe and headed to the airport.
•Chelsey's point of view•
Marshall's been gone for a week and I feel like I'm falling apart without him I miss him so much He's called me every day since he's been there but I still feel lost, even if it's just watching Ava for a second while I shower and she's upset, trying to get her calmed down Marshall could come over and calm her down rate away but she doesn't do that for me.
Marshall's mom comes over when she can to help out but its not the same. I was in the Kitchen trying to hold a crying Ava and try to make lunch for Lily when I hear the front door open.
"Chelsey?" a familiar voice called, I walk out to the dining room to see Marshall walking in the front door.
"Marshall!" Lily ran over to him and gave him a hug, I walked over with Ava still crying and tried to hug him.
"Oh my goodness baby girl." Marshall took Ava for me and held her close to his chest and patted her back. "Shhhhh, Shhhhh, it's ok." He kept repeating she finally calmed down I think the crying wore her out to the point she sleep.
"I missed you so much baby!" Marshall smiled before kissing me.
"You have no idea how much we missed you too babe." I smiled at the sight of him being home I finished making lunch and Marshall sat me down, he told me about how amazing it was to meet Dre and how they talked about his career and some future plans .
"They're going to talk about it and get back to me but dre said he wants to sign me and wants me to go on tour with Dre, Keenan, D12" Marshall told me.
I was happy for Marshall I really was I am so proud of him and following his dreams, he was finally starting to get the break he's been waiting for.
I just want him to know that I can't be practically a single mother to two kids. (I say two because Lily is still staying with us and we don't how how long it'll take for Debbie to get her situation back on track.)
"So babe I've been thinking, I want you to know I'm serious about us and I know that you wanted to wait till after we had Ava to get married, so what do you think about now?" Marshall asked me.
I agreed to do it but with us not having alot of income coming in rate now we agreed to go down to the courthouse and have the judge marry us, that way its still legal and we could save up enough money for our big wedding.
•Marshall's point of view•
I tried calling my mom's house phone but it was disconnected, so I decided to drive over to her place. I knocked on the door and she came and answered it.
"Marshall, how was the meeting with Dre?" Mom asked
"It was good, it was ha really good actually he wants me to come out with another album and do promos and eventually go on tour." I told her.
"That's great honey." Mom said she congratulated me.
"So mom the real reason I came by is because Chelsey and I are getting married." I broke the news to her. I was happy about getting married to her she's the love of my life and she's the mother of my child.
"When?" Mom asked
"Soon, like really soon. I wanna do it before I have to start workin on this album." I explained
"Well honey, my moms coming into town this week, why don't we have the wedding while she's here?" Mom informed me,
"Yeah ok." I replied we talked for a little bit before going back home.
"So babe I was thinking we could could have the wedding on Thursday." Chelsey told me, I agreed.
It sucks the fact that if we wanted to be married by the time I had to leave again it had to be in the next two weeks I didn't want her to feel rushed because either way if it's thrown together last minute or a huge expensive wedding it's still a wedding, the day every little girl dreams of and I just feel horrible that I can't give her the wedding she deserves yet.
*Chelsey's point of view*
Four days later- Thursday
It was the day of our courthouse wedding, Debbie and Marshall's grandmother are going to be there of course Ava and Lily, Proof, D12, Cheddar, Sol, Iz , and Marshall invited Future, we didn't know if he was going to come or not. We had a nice small ceremony and Marshall and I were husband and wife, I changed my last name so now I am officially Chelsey Mathers.
