Cato's POV: As soon as Ivy stepped off the stage I scooped her into my arms, gently setting her down in the floor. "Not here." I looked up to see Brutus grunted, as he led us up to our floor. Slowly as we walked I pulled Ivy over to the side, "Ivy, what I said on the rooftops a few days ago, I meant it, every word. I will protect you, even at the cost of my own." I said as Ivy nodded refusing to look at me. Gently making her look at me, my eyes widened a bit seeing tears fall from her eyes. "I'm sorry." Ivy whispered, harshly wiping her eyes before looking at me again. I shook my head as I held her tightly to me chest as she slowly began to hug back. "I shouldn't be crying." Ivy said in a small voice, ashamed. "No, go ahead cry." I said quietly, she nodded as her body shook with small whimpers. "Come on, you better get to bed. I'll see you in the morning." I said as I lead her to her room, before pressing a small kiss on her temple. "Goodnight." I said as she shut the door. "So." I turned to see Enobaria leaning on a doorway arch. "You gonna keep her safe?" I looked at the Victor with determination, "You best not break her heart, and trick her into thinking you have feelings for her." The Victor slowly stalked toward me, "Cause if you do-" she snickered through her sharp, pointed teeth. "You can bet you won't ever see the light of day again." She said quite happily. "What are you to her?" I asked as the Victor stalked around me in circles, "Me? I was her mother's best friend before I was Reaped. I don't regret my decision, not a bit. But what I do regret... was giving my blessing to that cheating, scum of a Peacekeeper." She hissed angrily. Pointing a finger at my chest she looked at me, her eyes radiating hate, "You protect her like you promised, or else." She hissed as she melted back into the dark.
