Ivy's POV: Night had fallen and I still couldn't sleep. "Ivy, you have to sleep." I turned to Cato, who was laying in his sleeping bag, "I can't. Cato you saw what I did to those poor kids, with no remorse, not a second thought. I killed them, right were they stood." I said, voice breaking toward the end of my sentence, "It's barely been the first day and- and I've already changed. I already became a monster." I cried, quietly as I heard Cato come out of his sleeping bag. "But you also saved the boy." He said motioning toward the tied up boy. I shook my head, "I only prolonged his death." I said ashamed."Ivy, look at me?" I turned to see Cato, who held his hands open, as I meekly crawled into a ball. "It's not you. I know that. You know this. Your family will understand." I shook my head thinking of when my siblings knew that their older sister became a murderess, a killer, and monster. "If you hadn't killed them, they would have killed you. You did what you had to do. Come on. Join me." I looked as Cato had shuffled back into his small sleeping bag, "Cato, what about a night guard?" I asked as I made my way toward him. Cato slowly picked up a rock, throwing it at Marvel, he bolted up, hand clutching his spear, "Your on guard for the first 2 hours." Marvel shot Cato a dirty look but nodding anyways. Cato slid his sword he had found around the bag, next to my belt holding my knives. "Get rest, and Marvel?" Marvel looked up, disgruntle, "What?" He spat, looking up from his spear "Wake Glimmer in 2 hours." He nodded. Gently Cato slid a protective arm around me, slowly I closed my eyes, no longer fighting the urge to sleep.
