To the field, I was brought. It seemed small, but I suppose it was because the range was circular and not square. The field reminded me of Rome's Colosseum, only the ancient arctecture never existed beneath the water's surface. I was here to meet Kanto for sparing lessons.

To be absolutely honest, I wasn't the one who choose Kanto for my teacher, let alone if I was given the chose, my first pick would not be the self-absorbed sea serpent. I wasn't too happy to be in Kanto's presence, but if the qualifications to become an official mermaid are for him to teach me their fight or flight, then I would deal with his incompetent presence all day.

It was going to be hard, but it wasn't impossible. He was going to be teaching me basics, like the parts of a sword and how to properly wield it. Honestly, I didn't want to learn this trait, but Larose won't allow me the pleasure of skipping, and neither will Tallese.

I wasn't sure where to go. Kamara had shown me the way here, then had to leave due to Tallese's request. She left me all alone to fend for myself against all these full-blood mers. I slowly swam through the entrance and stopped short when I noticed many mermen facing off with one another. Their moves were that of an expert ninja, only they had fins and a tail.

My eyes bugged out; I couldn't believe I was to learn their skills and learn to be a fighter just as them. I just didn't know if I wanted that life yet, or at all.

I took a deep breath in and tried to relax as I timidly ventured my way through the field, which was actually a huge sandbed spread out over a vast area. Many were in groups of six or eight, hurting each other with weapons and fists. I steered clear from the hormonal males as much as I could, sticking to the outer rim. I didn't want to draw attention to myself, but that was inevitable with my tail.

The abnormality drawed attention like a celebrity in a mall. The attention I received may have boosted my self-confidence, but my anxiety wouldn't allow me the pleasure of enjoying it.

Many mermen turned to stare as I swam by, many catcalling and purring with predator tendencies. I meekly swim pass various gorgeous males, keeping my head down. While swimming, I accidently bump into a few mermaids. They glare daggers each time as I smile, appearing to be friendly and apologetic. I didn't bother to waste my time after the second upturned nose.

My eyes landed on an open patch near the edge of the battlefield as it calls my name. The sweet, sweet sight of my own oasis created a smile on my face. My tail sifts faster through the water towards the sandy paradise. Just as I thought I was free from their attention, two men barracade me from swimming forwards.

They are both tall in height and long in length, yet each hold a square stance. One was as equally handsome as the other, but the male on my left had an orange tail. The thick mass was very slick and scaley with precise fins floating around it. His abs were what most human girls would drool over and the broadness of his chest was that of a linebacker. The reddish orange tail melted beautifully with his gorgeous tan skin, the scales by his v-line were very seductive and tantalizing to the eyes. Beautiful pale gems litter his body in thin silver chains that connected from his head to his tail. The male's face was strong and angular, very sharp in his jawline. The silver eyes caught me off guard, sensing me to look at the other male.

His dark hair contrasts to that of his fils', creating wondrous thoughts of 'how' and 'really' flowing through my brain. The seafoam color of his eyes is what reeled in his look. Rugged hands with muscular arms and wide shoulders leading to a thick neck; He is a beauty, and so is his tail. The fins were long and big, making him appear bigger towards his prey. He looked strong, fierce, and mighty. The faded purple scales blend together with many harmonies in the mix as amber jewels scatter across his mouth-watering body.
