Mike excitedly knocked on the Chief's door.

"What do you want, kid?" Hopper asked, opening the door a crack.

El came running to the door dressed in her light blue winter coat and oversized hat.

Hopper gave Mike a look, realizing what this was. He refused to get used to the fact that his 13 year old daughter already had a boyfriend. "Have her home by 4:00."

El ran out and gripped Mike's hand.

"Where are we going?" She asked, smiling bright.

"Nowhere." Mike stopped walking and smiled back at her.

"What?" El asked, giving him a look. "Mike, I do not want to have a picnic in the cold."

"It's not a picnic, look-" Mike said, pulling out a Polaroid camera. "Will let me borrow it!"

El, thinking it was some kind of weapon, ducked her head.

"No! No. It's a camera, El."

"Camera?" El asked, slowly raising her head and grabbing the device.

"It takes pictures." Mike explained, grabbing the camera back from her and chucking. "Watch."

Mike pointed the camera at her and pressed the button.

El jumped, startled by the noice, making Mike laugh.

When the picture came out, El was amazed. She looked it over for a while, then handed it to Mike and smiled at him.

"That way you remember me." El said.

"How could I forgot you?" Mike laughed.

They ran around outside (Hopper of course watching from the window), taking tons of pictures of them, laughing and making snow angles.

El kept every single picture she took in a small book, and often looked back at it when Mike wasn't around. It made her feel like he wasn't as far away as it usually felt.

And Mike did the same, hanging them up inside of his fort in the basement. That way, if he ever missed her, he could go down to their spot, and she would always be there, just like old times.
