Chapter 41

---------Grace's pov--------

He decided to kiss me. Kiss me! I wanted to push him away but I couldn't for some reason. Eben was clearly enjoying it until my phone started ringing and our kissing session ended. 
-------Phone call-------
(From Isabelle)

I: "Grace where are you?"
G: "Umm... Eben where are we?"
I: "You're with Eben?!?!" 
E: "Holiday Inn." *whispering*
G: "Holiday Inn and yes."
I: "Why are you guys at a hotel?"
Eben must have heard her so he took my phone from my hand and talked to Isabelle. After about 2-3 more minutes of talking, they finally finished the call. He set my phone in between us and looked at me.
E: "Sorry for kissing you. I just can't handle having feelings for you and you not knowing."
G: "You literally just told me."
E: "But I knew there would be more of an effect if I kissed you."
G: "Eben, why would you kiss me if you know that I like Zach."
E: "I don't know because I pretty much fell in love with you when we first met each other but never told you because at some point I thought you could tell."
G: "Eben..."
E: "Why does it matter if you like Zach? You guys aren't even dating. You guys are more of friends with benefits than a couple."
I stared at the floor because I knew he was right and from the looks of everything it didn't seem like Zach was going to ask me out but I know if I do something with Eben it would hurt Zach more than anything else.
E: "Are you ok?"
G: "Yeah..."
E: "Sure?"
G: "No because I do feel something for you but I feel something for Zach too and if we do anything that might make us more than friends than I know for a fact that it would hurt Zach and you know that too."
E: "Then don't tell him."
G: "Eben, I'm not that type of person plus even if I was I wouldn't be good with that type of secret."
E: "So you don't wanna do anything?"
G: "If Zach wasn't in the picture than yes but he is plus I know that you don't wanna hurt him and I definitely don't want to hurt him."
E: "You're right."
G: "Maybe in our future."
He seemed a little bit happier when I said that.
G: "Ok. We need some sleep."
E: "Ok." 
We didn't pack any bags so we couldn't change. I got back onto my bed and went straight to sleep.
-------Eben's pov------

Am I stupid for what I did? Yes, yes I am. Do I regret it? Just a little. Am I happy that I did it because she knows that me liking her isn't some joke? Yes! 
I'm glad that I did it because she even told me that she has something for me and like she said maybe in the future so maybe there might be something.
