Chapter 49

—————Zach's pov—————
We walked to the Uber that has brought Grace to the restaurant. When the Uber was driving out of the parking lot.
G: "STOP!"
The driver slammed on his breaks and she got out of the car.
—————Grace's pov—————
I got out of the car because I saw Jenna coming out of the restaurant looking like she was about to start crying.
G: "Jenna, what's wrong?"
Je: "Nothing."
Ja: "Jenna, I'm sorry."
Jack came running out of the restaurant.
G: "What happened Jack?"
Ja: "Ooooh Grace, what a nice surprise to see you here, I thought you guys were leaving?"
He said in a 'I know that you'll kill me if I tell you but I'm going to tell you anyways because this is your best friend and at some point, you'll find out but it's better if it's coming from me because I caused this whole conflict' voice.
G: "Well yeah we were because we saw you guys and we didn't want you guys to stalk us after our dinner but as we were driving away, I saw Jenna come out here and she looked like she was going to cry. So what's wrong with her Jack since she won't tell me?"
Ja: "Logan has started a group chat, we were all talking in it and trying to make sure that it was you guys. Well when you guys were leaving, I texted to the group chat that you looked really pretty in your dress because I haven't seen it before like 5 minutes ago and Jenna took it the wrong way."
I sighed.

Je: "I don't understand how you take that the wrong way because I know that you like her too."

G: "Ok, I'm going to let you guys handle this because I need to go finish my date with my boyfriend that I have."
-------Jenna's pov-------

Grace went back to the car and they drove off.

Ja: "Jenna?"

Je: "What do you want, Jack?"

Ja: "I want you to forgive me because I didn't mean it that way."

Je: "It sure seemed like you meant it that way."

Ja: "I meant it as, I'm with her best friend and I'm just her friend."
Je: "That doesn't make sense."

Ja: "I'm with you not her, I'm with you. I chose you. You are the person that keeps me from doing stupid things."

I started to cry because I never thought that someone has cared about me as much as he does and I was just emotional damage right now.
Je: "Jack..."

Ja: "I understand if you don't want to be with me because you may not trust me anymore but I wanted to let you know that... I love you."
I just hugged him because I couldn't even speak anymore. I'm guessing he knew my answer because he gave me a kiss.

Je: "Should we go back inside?"
Ja: "Yeah our food might be ready."

As we were walking back inside, I looked at my phone and holy smokes there was about 100 messages in the group chat that Logan created. We make it back to the table and everyone looks at us.
Je: "We are fine."

Jo: "We aren't looking at you guys."

Ja: "Then wh-."

W: "Excuse me, here is your guys food."
Ja: "Oh excuse us."
Jack pushed me into the booth seat and he quickly got in after me.
