"When will you leave?", Ian asked me as I was following him.

"I...don't know", I answered in an unsure voice. I had been trying to avoid these thoughts. Fortunately, Ian didn't pursue the matter more.

We walked in silence till Ian stopped in front of a large door.

"Well, we are here", he said, noise of quiet a lot of people could be heard from inside.

Ian pushed open the door and entered.

"I-it's so big", I said looking at the huge hall in front of me. It was filled with people and tables. There was even a bar inside.

Ian pulled me to a table and told me to sit there while he bought something to eat.

I shifted uncomfortably. There were a lot of people here and I felt uncomfortable.

"E-eekkk!", a weird noise came from my mouth when a man landed on the table I was sitting at.

He looked at me and said, "hey there, you look new."
I instinctively got up from my chair and moved back.

Just then another man came and started pounding the man on the table.

"Uh...", I stood there frozen, not knowing what to do.

Where did Ian go off to?

Just as I thought of him he appeared with a tray of delicious looking food. He looked at our table that had now become a battle arena and snorted. Typical Ian.

"Shouldn't someone stop them or something?", I asked slightly tugging at Ian's sleeve.

Ian let out a deep sigh and handed me the tray. After that he used his right arm to grab the collar of the man on top from behind and tugged him roughly off the other man. He made it look so easy.

The man, Ian had pulled by the collar started to protest but as soon as he saw Ian's face he stopped and started apologizing instead and the both of them scurried away.

Ian let out a sigh as he sat in the chair comfortably, "what are you standing there for?"

I sat across the table from Ian after setting down the tray.

"They sure are scared of you", I said looking at him.

He snorted and then smirked at me, "you aren't?"

I thought about it for a while then said, "nop", while picking up a leg piece from the tray and bit into it.

Ian didn't say anything and started eating too. We ate in silence. I, myself didn't speak because I was really enjoying the food. It was so delicious.

After I was finished eating, Ian got up from the table and I followed behind him.

We exited the eating place and went into the hall ways again. After a while he turned back to me and asked, "why the heck are you following me?"

"I'm not...supposed to?", I asked him, confused.

"Gah! Why do I have to babysit you!?", he asked frustrated.

"That's rude. If you don't want to then take me to Erinor."

"You don't need to tell me. I was going to do that anyway, but I can't take you to him. He will just run away. So I will drag him to your room."

After leaving me in my room, Ian went away somewhere.

15 minutes later

I was combing my hair while sitting on my bed when the doors to my room opened.

Ian entered with Erinor.

"What the!?", I looked wide eyed at the scene in front of me.

Erinor was tied up in ropes, a lot of them. A piece of cloth was tied on his mouth so whatever he was saying was muffled. I couldn't make out what he was saying but he was glaring at Ian, who was smirking. A chain was tied to Erinor's waist and the end of the chain was in Ian's hand.

"You literally dragged him here...?" I asked.

"Yep", Ian answered proudly.

"It's nothing to be proud of", I scolded him, "but thanks."

"I'll leave you two here then", Ian said as he left the room closing the door.

Erinor was shaking his head the entire time. When Ian left he turned his gaze to me. Our eyes met and he quickly turned his face away with an apologetic look.

Okay, now he was making me feel bad. I walked up to him and sat down in front of him on the ground. I removed the cloth from his mouth and asked, "why have you been avoiding me?"

He just looked down with a pained expression not saying anything.

"Erinor...say something...", I said in a pleading tone.

"I hurt you. I'm sorry. I just...", his voice trailed off.

"Ian told me that it was part of your duty", I said gently.

He finally looked at me with a shocked expression, "you aren't...mad at me?"

I shook my head.

"But...but...it must have been painful"

"A bit", I replied with a smile while lying.

He returned my smile with a pained expression.

"Look, it's more annoying when you avoid me like that", I said while looking straight at him.

"You don't hate me?", he asked like a child.

How can I when you act like that?

"Okay I'll be honest, I was hurt and mad and angry at first but now I'm not. Ian told me it was your duty and you seem sorry enough. Plus you are a pretty nice guy. The nicest I have met here till now. So, are we good?"

He finally gave me a smile, "you are nice, you know that?"

"So if I untie you now, you won't run away like you saw a mouse or something?"

"I won't", he reassured me with a smile.

After a lot of effort I untied him and both of us sat down on my bed.

We sat in silence before I broke the silence with a long sigh.

"Hm?", Erinor turned his face towards me.

"Nothing, I'm just wondering about stuff."

"You can talk to me."

I smiled. It had been a really long while since someone said those words to me.

"Well, I don't know how I ended up here. I don't know where to go now. I can't keep bothering you guys. I have come to the conclusion that I have ended up on another world. There wasn't any magic in my world. The last thing I remember is...well that doesn't matter, but I ended up here after that."

Erinor listened to me quietly before saying, "well there is this magic I once read about that can take you from one world to the next but no one has ever been able to perform it so it's more of a myth. But it could be that maybe that's how you got here?"

"But I don't know how to use magic", I pointed out.

"Sometimes, just a strong wish can create magic too. Were you wishing for something before you ended up here?", he asked me.

"Yeah...for freedom"

And a place with people who actually have hearts and care.

I didn't mention that part to Erinor though. He ruffled my hair and smiled, "well that must be it, then. Did you get your freedom?"

"Yes. Yes I think I did", I smiled brightly. I wasn't caged up in a prison anymore. I only just realised but the door to my cage had opened.

"You better enjoy it, then", Erinor said smiling.

I nodded happily to that.
