A few days had passed, since I had started living in the new world. I didn't particularly miss anything from my old world except for Leon. I'd keep thoughts of him at bay by spending my time with others.
Like usual after waking up and getting dressed I got out of the room I had been given and bumped into Erinor, literally. I almost fell on the ground.
"Hey", he said as he grabbed my hand and saved me from falling.
"Hi, thanks", I smiled at him.
"So where are you off to?"
"Just wandering."
"Want to tag along? I'm going out to set up some traps."
I had learnt that Vincent, Erinor and Ian were part of a group, that carried out requests for money. Mostly they consisted of capturing wild magical beasts and such. Vincent was the leader.
I spent the morning and afternoon with Erinor. I tried helping him with whatever I could but most of the time, I just watched.
After we returned back I went into my room. I dropped onto my bed and let out a heavy sigh.
I feel tired...
I closed my eyes and tried to sleep, but couldn't. I just kept lying on the bed staring at the ceiling. Too tired to do anything, but unable to sleep. I ended up spending the entire evening thinking of things I'd rather not think about.
I miss Leon, but it's not like it'd change anything even if I went back. He already left me. Well, everyone does anyway...
With a sigh I sat up in my bed and decided to go out, to the eating place.
I entered and somehow ended up in the drinking area. This was my first time drinking here, or well anywhere.
There's a first for everything, after all. I sat down on a stool and ordered a shot of tequila. I liked it's name.
I looked at it for a minute or two before bringing it to my mouth and taking a sip. I made a face.
Bad taste...sort of bitter...
I brought the cup to my mouth and gulped the rest of the tequila.
I wanted to get drunk because my brain had been causing me a bit too much trouble today. I had heard that drinking made you forget.
"Another one!", I said to the bartender.
I gulped it down. The back of my throat had a slight burning feeling. I drank another after that. My words were starting to slur now.
After drinking about 6 shots, I was feeling extremely light headed and nauseous.
"One more!", I said in a slurry voice.
"That will be enough", I heard someone say from behind me. I turned around to look at who said the words.
"Oh Leon, pay for me", I said in the same slurry voice as I almost toppled off the stool. He held me up by my arms and let out an exasperated sigh.
"Don't buy stuff when you don't have money and I'm not Leon", he said to me with a frown before placing money on the counter. After that he helped me stand up.
The room started spinning as soon as I stood up and I lost my balance. He caught me in his arms. He let out a sigh before picking me up in his arms and walking me out of the eating place.
I kept staring at his face till we reached my room. He entered inside with me in his arms and set me down on the bed.
"I'm going to go now, rest", he said to me and started to leave.
"No!", I said in a loud voice and tears started falling from my eyes.
He turned around to look at me and stood there with a shocked expression, clearly unaware of what to do.
"Okay", he said as he came back and sat with me and added, "stop crying."
I nodded and wiped away my tears. I brought my face close to his with a smile on my face and said, "thank you."
Surprised, he looked at me wide-eyed while blushing. Our faces were inches away after all.
"Vincent is so cute", I spoke my thoughts out loud. That made him blush more.
"Wait...you said my name right?", he asked I'm a confused tone.
"Of course I'm not stupid", I said while puffing out my cheeks and added, "Vincent is Vincent. I understand that now."
I stared intently at his face for some time, while he blushed furiously. Then out of no where I pushed him onto my bed.
"Payback!", I said slurring on my words as I dropped my weight on top of him and rested my head on his chest.
For a moment there was silence, when I just lay on top of him.
Then he asked me, "is everything alright?"
"I don't know", I replied.
"You can tell me."
"Yeah, just missing someone."
"Someone important?"
"I guess, he was the only person I had."
There was a pause in which he was quiet and then he spoke, "well, now you have me. I can't replace whoever that was but I'm a person and I can be with you. I'll be here for you"
I stayed quiet as my eyes filled up with tears.
I'm happy...
I felt so happy and sad at the same time that I started crying like a child on top of his chest. He awkwardly stroked my hair in an attempt to calm me down.
Someone finally said that they'd be here for me...
"Thank you", I said in between my tears. I finally stopped crying and raised my head up and got off from top of him. I was starting to feel nauseous.
I tried walking towards the washroom but my steps were unsteady and I almost fell. He supported me.
"I don't feel so...good", I mumbled to him.
He helped me get to the washroom and stayed there with me while I vomited out everything I had eaten today and probably yesterday too.

When I woke up in the morning, Vincent's arm was on top of me. I had a bad headache for some reason. When I turned my body, I came face to face with a sleeping Vincent. My cheeks started getting hot as I stared at his extremely handsome face.
A-angel!
Caught under his arm I kept staring at his face, unable to move. His eyes opened after a while. He looked sleepily at me and then when he came to his senses, he backed away, turning bright red himself.
Intoxicating...he's intoxicating...
