Hitomi's POV

The next day was... Well, it wasn't as normal as it should be. In my terms, I wasn't my usual happy and energetic self. Instead, I was depressed and a bit conflicted. I was in Saitama's living room, staring at the wall in front of me as I sat on the futon mattress.

I was thinking about how my mother would react or what she would do if when she finds out where I am. Basically, I was thinking about what the worse could happen, and the answer to that is possibly my death or being locked in the basement for the rest of my life.

"I don't see how you can find the wall so interesting." Saitama said as he walked into the room. "Huh?" I looked at him as he was in his pajama pants and had a towel over his neck, telling me he recently took a shower.

"I'm sorry? What do you mean?" I asked. "I mean, you stare at the wall more than you stare at the TV." He joked. I blankly stared at the floor, hugging my knees to my chest. "Oh, come on, Hitomi. At least give me a small giggle." Saitama said, walking over to me.

He sat beside me and placed the towel by his side. "What are you thinking about?" He asked. "My mom... and what she'll do to me when she finds me." I answered. "Don't think about that right now," Saitama said. "Here, watch some TV."

He grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. I looked at the screen and saw that a cooking show was on. I sighed as I rested my chin on my knees while Saitama headed to the kitchen. "You want something to eat?" He asked.

"No, I'm fine," I answered. "Saitama, where's Genos?"

"Oh, he went out. I think he was heading to the Hero Association." Saitama answered. "I guess that's no surprise, seeing how he's an S-Class hero." I mumbled. "Yeah, but to be called in this much just seems over the top." He replied.

I shrugged my shoulders in response and I looked at my phone as it was vibrating. My eyes widened when I saw it was Mom calling me. Saitama saw my expression and asked, "Who's calling you, Hitomi?"

"I-It's my mother." I said, showing him the phone. "Don't answer it." Saitama said. "But I have to. If I don't..." I trailed off as my phone went to voicemail. "She left a message." I informed. "Let's hear it." Saitama said.

I took a deep breath, then listened to the message Mom left. "Hitomi... Hitomi, my angel. Come home now. Mommy is very unhappy with you. Answer your phone, Hitomi. Don't make Mommy punish you. If you pick up now, your punishment won't be as bad,"

There was a small pause until Mom started speaking again. "Fine. You wanna be a delinquent angel? Then, so be it."

My blood ran cold when the message ended there. "Hitomi?" Saitama looked at me as I suddenly couldn't breathe. I began to hyperventilate and I started to feel dizzy. "Hitomi? Are you okay?" Saitama asked.

"She's going to find me... and when she does, she'll kill me. She's going to kill me. Mom's going to kill me." I said as I started to panic.

Saitama grabbed my phone and crushed within his fist. "Saitama, what the hell?! That was my phone!" I angrily yelled at him. Before he had a chance to explain himself, I tackled him to the ground. "Are you out of your mind?! What the hell was that for?!"

"I did it for your own good." Saitama simply stated. "My own good?!" I repeated. "You totally crushed my phone! How the hell was that for my own good?!"

"You heard Marika's message. She might find you and who knows what could happen when she does. Oh, and the benefit of me crushing your phone, she won't be able to track you down even if she tried." Saitama explained.
