"Oops, I'm late!" whispers Mila as she rises from her bed, and heads to the bathroom.
She brushes her teeth, washes her hair and her face- runs out, slips on a sky blue bouncy dress and puts on her makeup.Mila is a 23-year-old who people think she's got it all. She's strong, independent, beautiful-inside and out. She works hard, and is generous, and loving.
She ran outside and headed for work. It was a bright, sunny day.
"Where's my pen? Ughhh.." grunted Mila. She worked in the marketing department of a travel agency. She was young- but she had skills. Everyone admired her, and looked up to her.
She was everything a girl wanted to be. Hardworking, honest, humble, and radiated positivity all the time. She was happy, and contented with her life, although she didn't have much. She had her family, friends, and her boyfriend- Jay. Jay was a handsome, kind person with pretty ash brown hair. She had met him at a conference a year ago- she still remembered his smile the first time they met.
She sat down, sighing.
Because deep down, Mila wasn't as "perfect" as she looks. She almost looked like she was gonna cry. It's been a year since they started dating, and now things didn't seem as bright and happy as it used to be. She didn't know what went wrong, but something definitely did.
"I should stop thinking so much.." she said to herself as she sipped on her favorite drink in the world- green grape ade. She stared at her phone and saw a message,
"Babe, I'm at work now. It was so hot! How are you? Not hungry?" It was from her boyfriend- Jay. She sighed and typed in, "I'm good! How about you? You must be hungry."
She looked at the screen for a moment, typed in "I miss you..." and deleted it, and sent the first part.
"He's gonna leave anyway...." this thought came back to her, leaving her heart empty and broken again.
