Mila constantly felt the pit in her stomach everytime she was talking to Jay, everytime she was doing something, let alone eating a meal with him was hard for her.

She tried to ignore it all the time, but she couldn't help it. It was getting harder, and Jay was starting to feel it too. She saw Mila's eyes, and the life wasn't there anymore. She didn't smile like she used to, and she wasn't as cheery and talkative as she used to be.

One week later, she was asked to go the shore with Jay and his guests- who were supposed to be paragliding.

Jay worked at a water leisure center, which included scuba diving, island hopping, and such.

They went out together and rode his car to his office.

The car ride was quiet. Mila liked the road to his office, it was filled with trees, as if you were on a way to a vacation house. In twenty minutes, they already arrived.

She walked down with Jay to his office and saw Martin from a distance. She couldn't see clearly, but she saw him smiling, maybe to Jay.

"What brings you here?" Martin asked Mila.
She was standing with her phone at Jay's office door.

"Oh, I'm just gonna join Jay today on the boat.. maybe see the sea?" And she giggled.
Martin smiled and said, "Why aren't you in your swim wear?"
"I don't think I'll be swimming.. just sit on the boat maybe." She answered.
With Martin, there were always episodes where they would just stare at each other for two seconds, and smile. It was weird, and Mila didn't know what to think of it, but the longer she can stare into Martin's eyes, the better.

"I just came to print some papers.. hey Jay!" He said, and went inside the office. She turned around to see Martin. He was wearing a Barrel Rashguard, and black tights. He had striking ash brown hair, and round, brown eyes.

He looked serious most of the time, and Mila would dig for seriousness and mystery. She smiled slightly, and Jay actioned for her to come towards them, which Mila gladly did. They needed help with the printing, and Mila was best at this.

Mila stood beside Martin, and Jay went out of the office, so it was both of them only at the office. She tried to control the laptop, and Martin wouldn't stay away, so she slightly touched with his hand. She felt shivers, but pretended not to care. She printed the papers, and pulled out the flash drive, but he suddenly said, "Oh, I need three of them.."

"Oh! I'm sorry, you clicked two.. so I thought.." Mila answered.
"I did? I'm sorry! I need three.." and they just laughed it off. She printed three and asked him, "Have you been to the Mala Islands?"
"Not yet! I'm going there though, this January!"
"Oh, the sharks there are amazing!"
"Have you seen them?"
"Yeah, I did!"
"But how... you have to be a diver!"
"I used to dive before with some people I knew..."
"Oh, really! That's dangerous!!" He laughed and it was the first time Mila saw Martin laugh that hard.

She watched him go, and she smiled. She never realized how much she missed him.
Jay came back.
"Babe, do you remember where I put my documents for today?"
"Oh, no I don't.."
He went to find it.
Mila sighed. Since Jay has been working here, all he did was ask her about his work, and nothing much personal. When they were at home, he would be on his phone, playing games.

She missed a lot of parts in Jay she used to love. But she knew she couldn't wait for him to love her the way she wanted to be loved.

She closed her eyes for a second. And went out the office. She couldn't stop thinking of Martin.
She could be faithful, she was faithful to Jay. She loved him like no other, and she gave all she had- until she was let down. She never knew that Jay would find it easy to leave Mila for his future.
Why yes, our futures were important. But why stay in a lost relationship, right?
It was honestly a waste of time.

"Let's go babe!" Jay told Mila
They walked down the sands and rode on the boat. It was big, and there were about ten of them in one boat.
Mila was happy as she took in the very first salty air into her lungs. It'd been a long time since she came back to the sea. And they set out to the open space.

The sun was shining bright, and it was the perfect weather to get away from the city. She was glad she made it, even if the whole ride there was silence between her and Jay. Jay didn't say a word, let alone ask her to come. Mila had to say she'll come, to make Jay wait for her to prepare.

Mila never let her pride get in the way of their relationship. But Jay was different. Jay was all pride, and no compromise. She found it hard to adjust to such different personality. One thing she was glad about was that she was able to save Martin's number last night from Jay's cell phone. But she didn't know how to start a conversation, or if she even thought that was right. What if Jay would decide to stay? That would mean that she can never be with Martin- and all these feelings would be lost hope.

She stared at the open sea, taking it all in. It was beautiful, the emerald color of the sea, and the bright sun. She couldn't stop thinking of Martin. He was probably diving, too. She silently hoped that he would be back when she was, too. She knew she shouldn't fall in love with the idea of Martin, but she just didn't know how to get close to him.
