She went back to the dock and didn't see Martin. She wondered if he had already left.
But then it was already half past four, he wouldn't be there anymore. She felt a little disappointed. She just put her head down, changed her clothes and went to work- for her night shift. It was a tiring day.
Was he home? she thought.
She was staring at her laptop, taking care of the salaries of what seemed to be more than twenty people now. She sighed, and looked at her phone. It was a message from an unknown number.
"Hey, was good to see you earlier!" it said.
"Who's this, please?" she replied.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Mila. This is Martin." it said.
She smiled, and felt her heart racing.
She was smiling. But wait... she needs to be calm.
"Oh, hello. How did you get my number?" she replied.
"I asked from Jay." he said.
That's weird. Jay was a jealous type. And then her phone rang again.
It was Jay.
"Babe, Martin asked for your number to ask something about your travel agency." it said.
"Oh, okay babe!" she just said.
Martin: I asked for your number actually, because I wanted to know if you do marketing for diving shops too!
Mila: Yes, we do. Are you interested?
Martin: Yeah, my boss kinda pressured me into promoting this.
Mila: Oh, I guess we'll have to hold a meeting, then. When are you available?
Martin: Maybe tomorrow?
Mila: Sure, umm 9:00 in the morning?
Martin: Will be there! Sky Avenue, 185 right?
Mila: Yep! See you tomorrow!
She didn't know what to make of it.
Martin
"Hey, Jay, I think you mentioned that Mila works in a travel agency, right?" he asked.
"Yes, yes, why?" Jay said.
"Ken wants me to promote the shop for him. He's kinda pressuring me already. I was wondering if I could ask for some help."
"Oh, I'll tell her then!" Jay answered.
"Do you think you could give me her number?" Martin asked.
"Sure, here you go." Jay answered.
What should I tell her..? Will it seem unprofessional if I just say hey?
Martin had a lot of thoughts. He regretted not asking her directly when he saw her awhile ago.
But my, did she look stunning. Her white shorts, and blue cardigan, the sexy conservative way she always dressed.
He'd seen her only a couple of times, but everytime she smiles, he somehow couldn't get her off his mind. But what to say?
"Hey, was good to see you earlier!" he texted.
I hope she won't think I'm such a creep.
"Who's this, please?" she replied.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Mila. This is Martin." he texted back.
