Martin
The day seemed longer after his talk with Mila. The look on her face always confused him. She was always blushing-but she didn't talk much so he couldn't know what was in her mind at all.
He sighed, and looked through his phone.
There was a message.
Mila: Dinner later?
He smiled. He remembered how Mila made her cute lousy excuse of making "too much" pasta when he knew it was exactly for two. He chuckled and replied:
"Sure. Is there anything you wanna eat?"
He put his phone inside, stood up and stretched. It was time to make plans for his incoming students tomorrow.
Does she like me?
He couldn't stop thinking about her. He had never felt this way before. It was like going back to high school where you couldn't stop wondering where your crush was all the time.
He looked back to his phone, and she hadn't read his message yet. He peeked through the window across his office. The blinds were folded so he couldn't see what Mila or the rest of the office crew were doing. He sighed and shook his head. He felt silly.
He quickly went back to his desk and started typing.
Scuba diving regulators are one of the biggest purchases you will make as a diver...
He kept typing until he didn't know how much time had passed. It felt short, but 4 hours had passed, and his workbook and lecture book was already finished. He was starving. It was only thirty minutes till he could get out work. He wondered what time Mila would finish.
He looked at his phone. It was 5:30. And there was a message. It was from his mom.
Mom: Sweetie, want me to bring some food for you this weekend? Miss you!
He smiled. His mother was the sweetest person he ever knew. He always looked up to his father and mother. They were always sweet to each other, and respected everyone in the family equally. Even when he didn't want to pursue medicine like his father, they never said anything negative about his choice of career.
Martin: Mother, it's okay. I have food left in the freezer. I'll let you know when I need them, and I'll come get them.
Mom: Sure, honey. Let me know!
He scanned through the diving regulators at the back of the office, and checked the number of items, and knew he was done for the day. He got out and was walking to the office when he was someone standing in front of him. It was Mila.
She was holding her bag in front of her, and standing shyly- smiling. He smiled, and she smiled brightly back at him.
"Hi.." she said shyly.
"Hi, are you done for the day?"
"Yup. Are you?" she asked.
"Yeah, I am." he smiled.
He walked fast towards the office, and left Mila outside. He quickly changed into his clothes and walked back out. She was across the office talking to Tony and Jay. He was careful not to catch their eyes.
He vaguely heard Mila say bye to them and Tony went back to the office, and Jay followed but paused and turned back to Mila.
They were talking, and Mila looked serious. He was concerned. Jay then looked at him, nodded, and went back to the office. Mila walked towards him and actioned that they go out together.
