Story: The Basement

My name is Jane. I am paranoid about a lot of things.

Like tarantulas, snakes, even ghosts, monsters and more...

One day, I decided to visit my sick friend Megan...

"Hey Ms. Morton.....?! Is Megan home..?" I said immediately as I arrived at the house.

"Oh! I didn't expect you to come pay us a visit Jane..." Ms. Morton, Meg's mother said.

"I'm so sorry to bother you Ms. Morton... But.. Is Meg home..?" I immediately asked.

"About that.. She has gone missing for weeks now.." My brain froze. What..?! What could've happened..?

"She still hasn't come back..!" Ms. Morton's eyes are heating up.

I guess I do feel bad too... "Where did you last see her..?" I really wanted to know where she was last found.

"In the basement.." Ms. Morton said... Why would it be the basement..? How did she even disappear without anyone seeing her..?

Now I'm paranoid... "How did she even go missing in the basement..?" Wow. These family doesn't pay attention to their children...

First, Chelsea. Next, my best friend Megan... Seriously..? How careless can this family even be..?! Megan isn't THIS careless!

"I'll come show you.." Ms. Morton tried to let me follow her.

When she turned her back, I said to myself, "I'm sorry Megan, but I know you'd like to make me live..." I swear no one but me heard it.

I quietly ran through the door.

~ Back Home ~

"Oh my gosh dear! Did you go to the Mortons Family..?!" Wow. What is mom so freaked out about..?!

"Yeah, why..?" I instantly became nervous... I don't like where this is heading...

"Don't you know that they killed their daughters..?! Thank God you're still alive..!"

I honestly don't wanna go back there... Rest In Peace Meg...
