Chapter 9 Rebecca's pov
"You haven't ate anything. Let's go eat." Daniel says.
"Yea." I reply and Daniel pulls me up and leads me to the kitchen. He pulls out a knife and rapidly starts slicing potatoes. He puts them in a pan and sprinkles them with wonderful smelling seasonings.
"You do like fried potatoes and steak right?" I nod. My mouth waters at the smell. He starts cooking the steak. In a matter of no time Daniel was completely done. He leads me to the dinning room, and pulls a chair out for me.
I sit down and Daniel uses his vampire speed and runs to the kitchen to grab my food. He sets it down in front of me. I can't do it anymore. I dig into my food. The flavors tasted great in my mouth.
The phone starts to ring and Daniel answers it. "Hello?" Daniel asks.
I hear screaming on the other side. "DANIEL!!!! She's dead!!!! Melanie is dead!" I see Daniel's eyes change, they go from green to black. He pushes his chair back and gets up.
"Daniel? Is everything okay? Who is Melanie?" I grab Daniels hand and give him a worried look.
"I'll be back. Stay here." Daniel orders. I don't even recognize his voice. His voice has been taken over by anger and pain. I step back, startled by this new voice. Daniel opens the door and stomps out slamming the door with him.
I open a corner of the curtain to look out the window. I watch him get on his motorcycle and drives down the road. I let out a sigh. I can't shake this feeling that I have. The worst is just around the bend.
