just a little longer

with just those words, i ended up staying for another hour.

half of it was spent hugging him and telling him everything is and will be okay.

the other half was spent stealing each and every drink his hand came in contact with and throwing it away. while sitting with him still trying to comfort him.

when i told him i needed to leave he said he would drive me home.

of course i denied because, first of all he came here with someone else and i'm not gonna let him dip out like that.

second, i stole his car keys and gave them to madison who was still pretty sober.

once i did get home though i found a note on my table.

hey baby. i hope everything went well with your friend. i stayed back a bit but went home to get some things done. love you and i'll see you tomorrow

i grabbed the note and grabbed myself a water before heading to my room.

when i walked in there was a rose on my bed.

i grabbed it and smiled.

i put the rose, my phone, and my water, after taking a drink, on the night stand and went to change and wash my face.

once i was done with everything i laid in bed and got on my phone.

when i turned it on i saw that i had a text notification.

g - thanks for tonight. i missed you..

i sighed as i read the text.

i didn't reply. i just set my phone back down and fell into a much needed sleep.

the next morning i woke up to noise coming from the kitchen.

it was silent . then..

BOOM

that was all i heard. it was loud enough it caused me to jump.

after the loud noise , i heard "shit"

then i instantly knew

"WHAT THE FUCK ZION" i yelled.

after i yelled that all i heard was complete silence. then i heard foot steps coming my way.

"oh heyyyy sky. what are you doing here?" zion said leaning on my doorway, trying to act all casual.

"oh i don't know.." i said making a thinking face. "maybe i live here" i continued laughing.

he cracked a smile too. "i thought i'd come over early. but seeing you still asleep, i wanted to make you breakfast in bed." he said with the same big smile he had the first day we met.

he still looks at me like that

i didn't say anything after he said that. i was too trapped in his smile.

"hello?" he said. i heard him. but i was still trapped in his smile and how his eyes lit up while he talked to me. he then started waving his hand in my face and that's when i came back to reality.

"you zoned out. ha, where'd you go?" he said with a laugh.

"sorry.. it's just.. well when you were talking to me your eyes they lit up. and.. you had a big smile on your face.. just like the one you had when we first met.." i said looking at the ground. because i knew if i looked up at his eyes once more i'd get lost again.

he placed a finger under my chin and lifted up my head to face his.

"it's because every time i'm with you.. i get so happy because i look at you and think,

wow, this girl is really mine"
