"we're.. we're doing okay" she said hesitantly.

"well, that's good" i said.

"actually, no.. we haven't really, i don't know done anything couple wise? jacks been really quiet. know what i mean?" she said, kinda like she didn't even know what she was saying , but none the less expected me to.

"yeah.. like fallin ' off kinda?" i asked/stated.

"falling off. yes, that's the phrase" she said, as she sat back in her chair.

"and.. you have no clue why?" i asked, curious to see her side of it all.

"no.. i don't know maybe i'm being a bad girlfriend ? maybe he's just getting .. bored ? god" she said as she face palmed.

"i- i can't say anything.. because i don't know what he's actually feeling.. but just talk to him okay?" i said, trying to be helpful.

"communication is key." she said, partly to herself though. "thank you so much" she smiled.

"no problem" i half smiled back.

i can't let jack break up with this girl because of me

"so, need any other stores or do you wanna get going?" mads asked gathering her trash.

"um no i'm done, unless you need somewhere else." i said, copying her actions.

"um.. nah i think i'm done too." she said.

"alright-" i threw my trash away, "-let's get going."

"hey, i know we're heading home and everything but do you still wanna hang out? we can go to my house or if you wanna go over to your house we can. i'm fine with either one." i said to madison as i drove us home.

"yeah, that'll be great. i was just thinking the same thing," she laughed, "and i don't care who's house we go to either."

i laughed, "my house it is."

"do you want to drop your bags off at your house first? or do you need anything before we go to my house?" i asked.

"um actually yeah, let's stop by my house. i wanna drop off my stuff and grab my charger." she said, looking at her phone.

and so that's what we did.

we went by her house, she dropped off her bags, changed into comfy clothes, and grabbed her charger.

all with no sign of jack.

and that's when headed back to my house.
