i ended up falling asleep on the couch and i woke up at 4 in the morning with that sentence tattooed into my head.

is he really gonna try and win me back?

what about madison?

how is he gonna handle this?

i look back at the time.

i woke up with a slight headache from waking up in the middle of the night and staying up for a while.

i looked back at the time .

when i did so, i noticed a text. it was from madison.

"hey girl! long time no see. wanna hang out later ?" it read.

i was slightly confused as to why she wanted to hang out. i mean yeah we're friends but we weren't really close. i became distant from her ever since i found out she was dating jack.

i actually don't think she even knows we were ever a thing.

fuck i completely forgot about that.

"hey boo" madison yelled as we walked up to each other and shared a hug.

"hey" i smiled.

"what's wrong?" she immediately asked.

"just guy problems" i shrugged while we walked back to the car.

"about zion?" she asked.

i nodded.

"hold on" she said before we both got in the car. "okay what happened?" she asked once we were both settled in the vehicle.

"i found out that.. he cheated on me.." i said quietly.

"oh no no no. where does he live again?" she asked. i just looked her her saying 'no'.

"whatttt? i just wanna have a .. nice.. talk with him" she smiled.

i rolled my eyes playfully "just drive".

and so she did.

off to the mall we go.

so it's been about 30 minutes that we've been at the mall. we've manage to stop at 6 stores, which to me is kinda surprising. usually in 30 minutes we only stop by 2 stores.

and currently we are sitting in the food court eating chick-fil-a because it's a must.

"so how'd you find out?" madison asked quietly.

she didn't need to go into detail , i knew what she was talking about.

"um, he had a date planned for us.. and once i was ready i went to his house and the door was unlocked. i walked in and saw food half cooked in the kitchen, it looked like he stopped everything to do something else. so i went upstairs to his room and as i was about to speak some random chick came in introducing herself as his "girlfriend"". i said as i put quotations around girlfriend and rolled my eyes.

"but you know.. it's whatever" i shrugged, continuing to sip on my sprite.

madison just kinda sat there at a lose for words so i decided to change the subject of the conversation.

"so how are you and jack doing?"
