"So tell me about yourself," Liam says.

"What do you want to know?" I ask.

Liam laughs. "How about everything?"

"Um..." I trail off. I don't really know how to answer the question. I've never really paid attention to my favourite things. "My full name is Zoey Bella Bernard. I'm seventeen years young. My favourite colours are blue and purple. I love food."

"That's really cool. Anything else?" Liam asks. I shake my head.

"Tell me about you," I suggest.

"What do you want to know?" he mimics me.

I laugh. "How about everything?" I play along.

"Okay. My full name is Liam James Payne. I am seventeen years 'young'. My favourite colour is purple. My favourite animal is turtle. I like Batman."

"That's pretty cool. Anything else?" I say.

"Not that I can think of," Liam answers.

We walked around a little more and talked about random things. Whatever can't to mind first, we started a conversation about it.

It's nice talking to Liam. He's sweet and polite. I already know that my dad approves of him. And if Dad likes him, Mum will like him too. But I don't know if I want a relationship with him. Yes, he's charming and good looking, but I just don't want to get into that.

After about an hour and a half of just random talking, Liam and I head back inside. Good because it's starting to get cold and I forgot my jacket. Im so forgetful sometimes. It's a nasty habit I must break soon. Mother won't allow forgetfulness.

Mother, Amelia, and Father are all sitting on a couch. You'd think they're all talking and laughing with big genuine smiles. But no. They were all silent and staring off to nowhere.

I walk up to them and introduce Liam to my mum and Amelia. "Hello, Liam. I'm sorry but we must go. It was nice to meet you," my mum says with a bright smile.

"It was nice to meet you too, Mrs. Bernard. Goodbye, Mr. Bernard and Amelia," Liam waves. He kisses my cheek and walks away.

My parents, Amelia, and I leave the large house in a polite hurry. The car ride home was just like the one to the party. Silent and dreadful. Nothing seems to change. That's the bad thing about being stuck in perfection. It's always the same thing.

Dad and Mum go up to bed without saying anything to us. Just like every night. I glance shyly at Amelia. She's staring at the wall with a blank expression. I know she's mad at me for stepping in between her and that Damen kid.

I want to talk to her but I can't. She'll only push me further away. I sigh and head up to my room. Another night of loneliness. Another day of pretending. Always the same thing.

"Goodnight Amelia. I love you," I whisper into the darkness. I know she didn't hear. She's downstairs. But it's still true. I wish we could back to the way it was before. Before we had to actually try to be perfect.

Before out parents ruined us.

I KNOW IT'S A SHORT CHAPTER. IT KIND OF SUCKS. I'M SORRY. I'LL TRY TO UPDATE LATER TODAY.
